According to the target website the regular price is $29, not $149. Seems more realistic.

Targets clearance items have gone through multiple price drops.
It's an absolute bargain at this price.
@millzy: Yeah, not saying it's not a bargain (I didn't neg). Just saying that putting the RRP as $149 is very misleading. I imagine it's been a while since any where sold at that price.

The RRP from the Philips AU page shows $129.95, suprised Target had them originally marked at $149.

I think the ones they are talking about an older iteration.
There were some before the current iteration, I had the uptown back then. Sound was good.

His conclusion: Overall, I'd say the sound of the Downtown is very, very good for a $100 headphone. While it does have a few flaws, it doesn't fail in any way.

There are a few in glenorchy shop, the shelf shows $35 but scans at $10 and for that price they are bl..dy good :)

Bad luck mate. When I bought it in afternoon at least 20 were there.
