Brewed at ultra high gravity? Is it brewed on Jupiter?

or at the centre of the earth.

But alcohol strength is calcuated by the starting minus finishing gravity.
So an "ultra high" starting gravity would usually indicate a very strong beer (since it has lots of suagr).
A high finishing gravity means it hasn't finished fermenting all the sugars yet & would be sweeter.

This sounds weird. it's like they've let the work experience kids into make the beer, and they've buggered up & rather then chucking it, they've added some flavouring hops & tried to flog it.

      I'd be trying a 6 pack (it's cheap!) before I got a slab.

Yep… Ultra high gravity (og) and 4% abv don't generally indicate a well planned brew recipe

        • Yeah its like the fermatation stopped & the yeast died mid cycle.

Or the other thing is that it did ferment out at say 7-8% and they've watered it down to 4% and added some hops to improve the flavour.

At $34 for 8lt of beer, there's about $18 in tax.

But hey if its drinkable, its an awesome price!

          thats a likely option
