How much are they discounted ???

    where's the deal?

$1183 for the same dates with Thai Airways or $1209 with China Southern Airlines with IWTF

or cheaper still via STA - $1177 for the same dates with Thai Airways

Comparing price is all well and good but comparing Etihad to Thai/China Southern does a disservice to Etihad. Nothing against any of those airlines, I fly China Southern quite a bit to China but just keep in mind different standards of service.

It's like saying why buy Chivas 12, red label is like $38 a bottle.

yeah, I get that. my perspective is that I'll be on a plane with some nice pharmaceuticals and i will most of the time, so therefore do I want to pay extra for nothing whilst I sleep (plus, this is Ozbargain -where $ comes before comfort.)

        total props to your point.

          • Sleep most of the time.
    • Agree, not really that great - I paid $960 BNE-EWR return the other day on Virgin (all the way) - the Thai fares are exceptional value, that's a nice airline.

  • How much is it normally?
    - jv

    • How normal is JV?
