Dan Murphy's it is. Gotta squeeze every penny!

  • You are my saviour! :) I was in my local shop and they were 49.95/L …

  • Great deal Trent, thanks. Although nowhere near the bang-for-buck, IGA currently has the 700ml version with a free box of chocolates for $25.

    • +1

That depends on whether you want the chocolates or just the booze.

    • +4

still works out to be $35.71/L if you don't count the chocolates haha

    • +1

its pretty close @ $2.995(DM) vs $2.714(IGA if you minus the cost of milk chocs that are $6 at coles right now) per 100ml

~10% more expensive, but you dont have to have those chocs

    • +4

Good deal but only if you want chocolates, pretty crap otherwise.

    • Hang on, where do you get liquor from IGA?
edit: Nvm, I didn't realise they carried a liquor chain too, thought it was just the local IGA down the road.

    • Does IGA sell booze in QLD? Don't think it does, but would love to be wrong, that sounds like a great deal!

  • Thanks, Ive been waiting for a Baileys deal to stock up. I prefer the 700ml bottles for $20 but this is still a good deal.

  • why are none of these stores in sydney CBD? zzzz

  • As I remember, $26 in Costco few weeks ago

    • +15

Well, that doesn't help us now. In future, please create a bargain.

  • does iga liquor price match?

    • Nope

  • Thanks OP. When does this expire?

    • It looks to be a DMs price beat of the First Choice catalogue special which ends 10/5. Updated.

  • For those interested, they also have the same sized bottle of Feeney's for $27.95. The ozbargainer in me was tempted, but I grabbed a bottle of the Bailey's :)

    • I tried Feeneys once, but nothing tastes as good as "the original" Baileys.

Although Im sure someone who starts out on Feeneys may feel the same way about Baileys.

    • thanks, Feeney's is drinkable, but not quite as good as Baileys, just my opinion though. I stocked up when it was $10 for a 700ml of Feeney's (mother's day??) last year. Feeney's tastes better than Bailey's when it is $10!

If Baileys was $2 a bottle, i'd be an alcoholic.

  • I;'d recommend not buying baileys from dm because i bought 4-5 bottles about 6 months ago and they all contain congealed sediment of clumped milky stuff in them. it completely ruins your drink whenever i forget and pour one.

    • That's all baileys. Fairly sure you're supposed to consume within 6 months of opening.
Do you even read or are you just an alcoholic who can't check which bottle has been opened?

      • +1

Oliver didn't say he had them open for a long period, just that there's clumps of shit in it, that's all.

        • -1

Oliver implied he opened all of them and couldnt finish them in the 6 mth period, then found lumps in them because he forgot he had another open, thus, multiple bottles of baileys opened = longer time for each bottle to be fully consumed. Thats normal for baileys after a long period of time once its opened.

it completely ruins your drink whenever i forget and pour one

          @cwongtech:

Do you even read or are you just an alcoholic who … oh hang on, that's what you said, and it was inappropriate then just as it's inappropriate now.

          Back to being me.

I think he was just being a little lazy with his past/present tense stuff. Do you really think he'll have 6x of them open at the same time?

Anyway, what would you know, you're a dog.

      • I bought 5 bottles and opened one at a time. I occasionally go and have a drink after the work week is over, forgetting I need to strain the baileys to avoid getting congealed crap in the drink.

  • Bought - with a bunch of other stuff i don't need :)
