If you buy one of these try seasoning it with either flaxseed oil or 100% RAW lineseed oil from bunnings if you are looking for a cheaper option it has to be raw so you don't get all the drying agents. It is the best way to keep your pan seasoned, way better then any vegetable oil or animal fat. No joke it's amazing try it. I have tried every technique to season pans and it's by far the easiest and best way.
Biggest thing with cast iron is after you wash it put it back on the flame to dry it out so it doesn't rust overnight. But if it does rust hit with steel wool then heat it up and wipe with a flaxseed soaked rag.
I've never looked back since swapping out almost my entire kitchen for cast iron. The most non-stick medium I have used. high five ~ Paul
