  • Sorta referred to here though they listed actual items (stand-outs)as well

I bought men's ultivite 60 tablets from Coles for $15 today.

    • Thanks for the heads up, saved a couple of bucks on the way to Chemmie warehouse.

  • there is a huge sale (half price)

    It not really half price…

    • +1

      It's

      • The fine print in the ticket said Half price of the RRP where applicable. Sales unfortunately sometimes do not apply to some of the exclusive lines (bulk pack vitamin B, Swisse Fish Oil 500 caps, etc.), which don't have RRP since it's not sold anywhere else apart from CWH.
CWH sold their vitamins at RRP so this sale is pretty much take an extra 20-30% off their price, which is still better than a lot of the catalogue or wellness sales. Not sure if nationwide but all Canberra store have lifted the vitamins limit of 6 per person/day for the whole May (exclude supplements that fall under 'Pharmacy Medicine' category).

        • The fine print in the ticket said Half price of the RRP

And how often to they sell these at the RRP, and how small is the fine print ???

Seriously dodgy advertising practices by this store, especially the fake savings they print on the receipts…

I've bought products off them that they claim I've saved $10 to find they are only $1 cheaper than the supermarkets normal prices…

        • @jv: my bad CWH don't sell their vitamins at RRP.

The saving amount is not updated 24/7 so sometimes supermarkets put their product on sale too to compete with the cheap price from CWH the saving amount wouldn't correct.

Any EVERY retailers not only CWH put their fine prints in a smaller font anyways because of the lack of space on the sale ticket. Because you need to put their sale price bigger than the fine print otherwise it wouldn't attract attentions.

It is against the law to claim a savings against RRP when you don't normally sell that item at the RRP….

        • @jv: our tickets say why pay $xyz, not save $xyz off RRP.

          @trevorinski9:

          I'm referring to the receipts…

our tickets say why pay $xyz

that is also misleading to consumers anyway…

        • @jv: I admit it is a little misleading. I'm just a store pleb so I'm not in charge of any of the decision when it comes to price. It's already cheaper than usual so why complaining?

I'm not complaining that it's not cheaper, I'm just saying the savings aren't as good as what is being claimed in the title of this post.

        • @jv: tough ozbargainer mate haha. it's still pretty good but.

        • @trevorinski9: hi if you work at chemist warehouse could you possibly do me a favour and check on which stores in NSW have Terre D'Hermes 50ml EDT in stock? I asked at my local a few months ago and they said only a store in Canberra and would not tell me when they would get more stock. It's been temporarily unavailable on the website for months as well.

    • Is there an item in specific you are whinging about ? Taking it up with authorities would help.
I found the sale to be half price for a vitamin I picked at random
Blackmore webiste lists it for $28.99 https://www.blackmores.com.au/products/vitamin-d3
Another website lists it for $26.99 https://www.priceline.com.au/blackmores-vitamin-d3-200-tableā€¦
I bought it for $14.XX yesterday at CWH. So that looks like a half price to me. Although I don't know what CWH usually sells this vitamin for.

      • Is there an item in specific you are whinging about ?

I'm merely stating a fact so that people are informed.

The title is misleading as they are not half price…

Although I don't know what CWH usually sells this vitamin for.

So therefore you can't really comment if they're half price or not…
