Havn't seen Magnatec 10-40 at that price for a while. My preferred oil too.
Always wonder why repco, supercheap like to stock these oils which are less commonly used other than 5w-30, 5w-40 and yet always discounting them.
could be like supermarkets where the specials arent actually discounts from the store but actually from the manufacturer negotiated by the store.
I thought the 10W-40 was the most commonly used oil.
Synthetic Technology = Semi-synthetic ( better than mineral oil alone but a deceptive way of saying it!). Castrol Magnatec is also semi-synthetic and contains zinc anti wear additives, like all other engine oils, that bond chemically, not magnetically. Both oils will perform very similar, after that it all comes down to marketing hype and price. <$20 is a bargain for this quality of oil.
Really good price.
I wonder how it compares with Castrol Magnatec Engine Oil -10W-40, 5 Litre which is about the same price when on special.
