  • Kodak didn't they go bankrupt?

    • Yep. Then they came out of bankruptcy.

        Selling power banks

They all do it at some point. Hyundai and Polaroid starting selling tablets while Kyocera and BenQ sold phones. ;)

          @Clear: Toyota started selling cars

        • @altomic:

          Does Toyota sell anything else?

In some countries I thought they sold motorbikes…

I think it's Korean companies that get involved in a spectrum of industries.

@LoopyLou: yes, that's true. I have a LG toothbrush as a testament to that

      • Well that doesn't leave much money to buy a vowel now, does it?

Its nationwide. Got one from woolies @ liverpool

    Its Ozbargain.

So get a Xiaomi instead of this rebadged god knows what power bank.

Kodak is nothing but a badge to be stuck on generic/OEM Chinese products, at least with Xiaomi you know who you are buying it from.

    • +1

Yeah, don't go for an unknown Chinese brand, go for Xiaomi!

(How long ago would this comment have been ironic?)

      • Yes.

Unless you are interested in self-cremation it's best to go for a well-known brand making products of a decent, safe standard.

      • +1

        what's a Xiaomi?

        said no OzBargainer ever

  • saw these in Margate QLD today at this price.

    From photos… to power banks??

Now that's what I call a career change.

    • They went bankrupt and the name is now being used as rebadges. Same deal with Polaroid. Except Kodak actually emerged from bankruptcy.
Now their names just appear on random Chinese junk products.

      • Kinda reminds me of dick Smith

      • can you expand on this? (serious q about Kodak)

        • I thought they went broke about the time that film cameras went the way of the dodo

        • @hardya:
Kodak invented the digital camera back in the 70's but fearing this ould kill off there lucrative film department, they never invested in the technology. Someone else did and that eventually saw the demise of Kodak. Although Kodak file is still popular in the motion picture industry.

  • Gonna get one today as I need one asap. Unless someone can suggest a better one I can get today.
