Infa-secure Neon car seat (0-4 years) is well rated and down from $199 to $150. Brookside (Brisbane) store had several left (nb. but grey was not discounted but this is an error as the blue was discounted).

Lots of other car seats and other baby items on clearance at Big W nationwide. Visit local store to find stock as it varies and online prices do not reflect the store prices.

Also to note is a Childcare Avion travel portacot down from $99 to $70. Unable to find on Big W Online but it is this exact item: http://belly2baby.com.au/childcare-avion-portacot-chevron-gr…

  • The Bright Starts around we go activity table was $100 (down from $150) there was 3 left at werribee Saturday https://www.bigw.com.au/product/bright-starts-around-we-go-a…

  • Thanks! Got the Trident II Isofix for $250 down from $399… I've seen it on special for $329ish a few times but never down to $250!

    • Hi deeps. What made you go for that model? I'm considering it too

      • Isofix - the seat goes in and out of my car all the time and once the Isofix tensions are set, it's very easy to remove and install the seat.

Also no matter how hard we tried, we could not get as solid an install using the seatbelt method.

We also have a maxi cosi euro, and that feels better quality and is easier to use (but also takes up more room), it's also twice the price…

        • Do you find not having a removalable capsule an issue? That's my hesitation.

        • @dtox: my son is 18 months old now so past the capsule stage

my advice would be that if you can afford a capsule for the first 6-12 months and then switch to a convertible seat, that would be the best way to do it. The baby fits more snuggled inside which means less room to be thrown about within the seat. Once they're older and fill out, that becomes less of an issue. Also the convenience of the capsule is hard to beat.

The main issue is cost - they aren't cheap… and only last 6-12 months depending on the baby and what model seat you get.

  • Bought 2 Neons (for the grandparents) and 1 Trident II Deluxe and used the Big W family and friends offer to get another 10% off. Thanks Leeroys_dad and deeps!
