Canon PowerShot SX210IS with 4GB SDHC Card Just $419.00 at Costco

81

This camera is the newest model in the PowerShot range and is currently selling for $480+ at most online stores, however CostCo at Docklands has it for $419.00!

They also have plenty in stock which none of the online stores seem to have. I got mine on the weekend and it's brilliant! It's not advertised as having the SanDisk 4GB SDHC card free, however when you open the box you'll find it inside.

Enjoy! :)

  • What about the $60 membership fee to buy it?

Then it obviously doesn't apply to you if you don't have a pre-existing membership. For those that do have an existing membership, this price is obviously reasonable.

If others want to get it for a similar price (and don't have costco membership or aren't near the docklands), then there's always the option to import. A quick search turns them up for about 320USD (345AUD) + postage.

Or ask someone who shops there to pick it up for you. Or think of the deal as Powershot SX210IS for $479 plus free membership to Costco for a year.

Let's see how many people buy these and put them on EBAY.

  • hahaha 60bucks membership is like nothing when you get the camera at $479 given that cheapest local stock local warranty is $472 from Camera House(results from shopbot.com.au) not to mention that there are always cheap stuff in costco u can buy to make your once in a lifetime costco shopping worths while.

  • found alot on ebay, similar price.

  • $419+60 membership fee + the hassle of getting to Docklands (it seems to be out of the way of everything) = not a good deal

    • It's less than 1 minute off Citylink, one set of traffic lights and you're in the car park :)

      • exactly my point! You must pay for Citylink!

        • $2.00 for that section, maximum $8.00 depending on where you come from. Still makes it a bargain, plus who knows what other bargains you might find while you are there. Try their roast chickens, they're delish :)

        • It's also on the Capitol City Bicycle trail which loops around the city, by boat (parking is probably pricey), free tourist bus that loop around the city and tram. Use a free $20 Docklands card and you got a free lunch as well. ;)

  • I stumbled onto Costco on my visit to Melborne over the weekend. I have to say I was impressed at the size and the range of goods the place offered. I thought there were laws in Australia against this kind of hypermart, or is that just in NSW?

But past that novelty, the prices in Costco don't seem all that cheap considering you have to pay for a membership fee. Paying someone to buy their goods seems silly to me.
