  • this is a great speaker, i bought mine for $60 from ozstock before, it was the pink one, their location is easy to find if you wanna save on shipping, the sound quality is amazing, it fills my room with clear sounds and comes with a remote, i like the alarm, it wakes me up everytime and i can turn it off with the remote, the only thing i didnt like was if you unplugged it, the time resets so if you set an alarm, make sure no one trips or unplugs it.

    • Could you tell me whether it was bright or not?
The one I currently have (iwave) is a damn discoball so I had to turn it off otherwise I can't sleep.

Then I'd have to set the alarms, time and radio channels all over again.

      • damn.. i just bought the iwave.. would of bought this instead lol

      • The clock is dimmer when it's on standby.

        • Same with the iwave but it's still too bright. Can this go completely dark?

What's worse is that the iwave has three brightly lit sections: left, right and middle.
I had to cover all 3 to sleep.
Either that or I turned it off.

          • @leonheart1: It doesn't go completely dark.

I hate light as well. I stick blue-tak and electrical tape over the lights in my room.

    • No battery backup for the alarm clock? I would never buy an alarm clock without this option.

  • Was looking at this dock the other day, but I think the alarm function doesn't have the option to play music from the ipod, is that correct? So what sound does the alarm use?

    • +3

It goes beep-beep-beep, pauses, beep-beep-beep, pauses etc. The alarm doesn't play from the ipod.

      • =\ beep beep? Maybe this is not such a good idea then.
Even my iPhone can wake me up with ringtones.

  • I heard the Anywhere 2 is much better.

    • But I thought that only had the portability advantage. So I guess you can plug it in and keep it plugged?
And how is the brightness, if you know?

  • Logitech Shop had it for $45.

    • when was that?

      • http://bit.ly/ExpressPlus . They were for pink ones only though.

        • Thanks. Do they have an actual shop or just an on-line shop?

          • @clin333999: Online only. They are linked to Fluidtek, which is a store in Carlingford, Sydney. Prices are different most of the time and NEVER ask to pricematch at fluidtek.

  • You should be able to price match this at office works to, they stock this item and there policy states they will price match online stores, depending on the added cost of shipping and if the item is in stock. So if all that works, they will beat by a further 5%. Saves the wait in shipping time….

    • +1

can you post a link to where they say they pricematch online stores?

    • Awesome. Didn't know they matched online stores as well.

  • So if you go to OW it will be $66.50?

    • Yup.

  • I read somewhere that if you set your alarm on your phone and not the Logitech it should wake you up with the song you want. Cant remember where i read it but im sure thats what it said, does this method work? Thinking about getting one at OW tomorrow

    • I didn't know this. I just tried it.

I set the alarm on my ipod touch and it played though the Logitech speakers and the volume dial lit up. I don't know how to set my ipod alarm to play songs but it played the ipods alarm so I assume it's possible.

  • Was going to buy one from the Logitechshop when it was $45 but when I tested it at the shops, the sound quality sounded really crap to me. So didn't end up buying it.

  • ohsnap, where is the Logitech shop? You in NSW?

    • It's an online store: http://www.logitechshop.com.au/

    • Yeah, it's the online store. They had it for $45 for a number of days in fact. I tested it at a Dick Smith store. Sounded alright at first but when the Altec Lansing started playing right after it, there was a clear difference.

  • maf101, so the alarm went on through the speakers? Can you tell me
And this not having a radio, you can just download one of the online radio apps for your Iphone and problem solved, walaa radio!

    • I installed an app "Alarm Tunes 2.0". It has to be the active app with the alarm set when you connect the ipod to the logitech. The alarm goes off through the logitech speakers. It plays mp3s for the alarm. I tested it with the iPod Touch 32gb 3g.

  • Hey guys, Just plugged my iphone into the Logitech Dream at JB-Hifi and the sound quality was amazing (for this kind of thing). If any of the Logitech vendors feel like offering a great price on this machine, I'll take one :)

  • Im doing abit of research and I seem to be more ineterested in the Pure-Fi Anytime one, which one seems better?

  • Thanks for the post ! Just got one today from the shop. Great price, good sound quality.

  • No opinion on price, as I received mine as a present, so don't know what they're worth, but thought I'd add my comments. Am very happy with sound quality etc, the remote is great. Only issue is it sometimes throws up an error saying that it's not compatible with the iphone, and did I want to swap the phone into plane mode. Pulling the phone out and plugging it back in solves this. Other than that, great system.
