BOSCH MUMXL20TAU Mixer $299.5 Plus Shipping @COTD

140

COTD just released a new sale on most Stand Mixers 50%off, it is a great deal.

For I myself, I got the machine when it was on sale for around $380. It's working perfectly in my kitchen

It's a updated/upgrade model for MUM86 and got 5 star rating on Catchoftheday reviews

It has powerful 1600W motor and contains a ThermoSafe glass blender attachment.

Also you can consider the Sunbeam Mixer for $199.5 + shipping as a cheaper option.

Hope this helps

Cheapest in the World!!!

Shows the kind of margins COTD run, should never trust a cooking sale before mothers day :/

  • Having a hard time finding reviews on this machine aside from what's available on COTD - seems like a great deal but am debating whether I should spend the extra $$$ and just get a kitchenaid for a peace of mind.

      • Except that's not the model being sold here. You can clearly tell from the pictures and model number.

    • Funny, I'm getting rid of my kitchenaid and bought this.
My kitchenaid is 315w and this one is 1600w…..kitchenaid handles egg white and cream pretty well but when it comes to pastry and bread dough it really struggles. If the only purpose of the mixer is just to mix eggwhite and cream why would you bother to spend so much because a cheap handheld mixer can do the job anyway.
I had my kitchenaid and my opinion is 'it looks good'.
Half the price of kitchenaid why not?

      • Have you got yours yet? How is it?

I just ordered it and it will be my first mixer. I don't even know what to do with it besides beating egg whites…

Yes I did. I got it on Thursday and made a huge load of bread.
I mainly use the machine to mix dough for bread and noodles as I hardly make cakes nowadays.

The machine itself is actually lighter than my kitchenaid, but when it's mixing 550g of flour it is more steady than the kitchenaid.
There is no way I would put so much flour into the kitchenaid…because it will start dancing on the bench top (normally use 300g flour) and the motor gets really warm after around 15 mins of mixing.

Also, all the ingredients mix really well and I don't have to stop the machine to manually help which I did all the time with my kitchenaid…
I don't understand why it has such a bad review on productreview.com.au however it's review is pretty good on Amazon and other oversea's website…
From my understanding, this series is way better than mum5 as mum5 has a lot of plastic parts where this one uses stainless steel.

@pearl2013: Seconding pearl2013 here, recommended this machine to many friends. Great for making pastry dough as it has a powerful motor.
