Appears to be a discontinued item from the manufacturer. It's now USD $69.99 + $7.38 postage, or around AUD $107 delivered with AmazonGlobal Shipping. According to Camel x3 it was once very short-lived $58.99 but the current price is the cheapest otherwise. It's now quite a bit cheaper than X2.

Great headphones that still sell second hand for almost this price. I've been running and gyming with these for a while, recommended.

  • Excellent headphones, but previous model. Personally own these ones.
8 hours battery is not how it really is. Maybe if you had the volume on the lowest possible settings. i think closer to 3-4 hours at max volume, which is still pretty good imo.

  • This is likely because of the Logitech buyout. $50 mill cash if I remember correctly.

    • No its because they released the X2's ages ago. This is the old version now, the X2s are the current version.

      • The X3 and Freedom are meant to come out sometime this year. At CES jaybird was saying that freedom was meant to release in May. It seems that has slipped.

        • My X's are still going strong-ish.

Battery life seems to have dropped by maybe half an hour (about 3 hours use at 90%). But no dramas other than that, survived multiple winters in Tassie, climbing, running, and sweat…

Unless they improve the fit, the battery life, or make a fancy-pants charging case I'll stay with the X's.

I don't even use for gym. Just use when I take public transport. Works a treat

The difference between first and second generation?

    • I am keen to get feedback on the differences between this and the 2nd gen.

    • +2

I've had both. X2s have different colours, and the wings are much more comfortable on the X2s for long periods of listening (first gen can be fatiguing for more than a few hours of listening). Comply tips included in the X2s make the fit much better. But you could just get this, don't use the wings, and buy the comply tips separate to save some cash.

      • How does the battery life compare between the X and X2's?

        • i have the x2
i used it in my 9.30 - 6 work day. pause and play so often. listening to podcast most of the time. it will last about 7hours on full charge? maybe 8. i go to the gym after work sometimes and i need to charge for a little before hand for it to make it through a work day and a 2 hour gym sesh.

  • Excellent headphones, what about the sound quality, any good?

        What about the sound quality?

  • FYI made an account just to post this… X3 are coming out middle to end of this year, the freedom on the other hand are on the market in the USA right now.

  • Price dropped by about a dollar. It's now US$68.80 + $7.35 shipping.
