Saw this while browsing through my local Target (Casey central) today and thought someone might be in the market for one.

Correct, but you can get replacement filters off eBay and I believe they last two months.

Could just buy the other one for the cheap filters and use the jug in this deal since it's not as (ymmv) gaudy. Or donate the spare to an Opshop or something. Would this be at all Target stores?
I love mine. Our whole family doesn't drink water without it.
And during summer time you just place it in fridge and have cold water :)
I was thinking about getting one but I wouldn't have it in the fridge during winter, is that what your family do?
no in winter we just leave the jug outside
During winter it just sits on the counter. It's enough cool that way already :)
It's shape is just perfect for the fridge so during summer it is kept there.
About 2-3 times a year I buy 24 bottle case from Aldi or Coles and take one bottle, drink it and keep filling the same bottle during the week. I take a bottle of water where ever I go, convenient and saves heaps money :) …Money that I use on other Ozbargain necessities :P
