  • I think that was the older model (2.0) for $319.20.

    • Yeah you are right sorry, misread title.

  • How is this compared to bose qc25? This headphone looks more fancy, besides it's also wireless.

I will mainly use it for watching videos and films on my laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I tried both on over the weekend. These are noticeably heavier than the QC25's. So much so that I think wearing for an extended period (maybe 30mins+) you'll start to feel it. Having said that, the padding over ear is still comfortable. So it's not as though you'll feel a pinch on your head, just the overall weight might get a bit annoying (this is due to the headband being made of metal as opposed to plastic).

Noise cancelling wise, I could barely tell the difference between the QC25 and the Zik 3.0. I'll probably get flamed by audiophiles for saying that but hey, I honestly couldn't tell! The Ziks are definitely better looking and the steel headband makes it definitely feel premium. But, the QC25s aren't exactly cheapy cheapy feeling either. Just a whole lot lighter which will make them far more comfortable on long commutes or just wearing around all day.

I tried both (currently using Zik 2.0). I believe QC25 has slightly better sounds. Also, Parrot Zik series is designed to use with smart phones & its App. For laptop use only, QC25 should be better.

If you want to listen to music while walking, Parrot Zik is better due to wireless and better styles.

tbh, I would say the Bose QC25 is better for PC/Mac use and The Parrot Zik are optimised for use with a smartphone via BT (which they are amazing at). Also, apparently the battery life on the Zik is only 7 hours for one charge (which ain't great for long trips), altho the QC25s also need battery for ANC. However, if you haven't tried either brands before, I would recommend trying on both headsets for comfort levels before deciding! cheers

    • Having used the older version, they are heavier than most headsets,so much so they can start to slip off your head if you're lying down YMMV.
As for noise cancelling, they are superb. Was listening to some music one night, and there was a faint hiss I couldnt quite place. This continued on for several songs, so I took the headset off, only to discover a torrential rainstorm was beating down on the (corrugated iron) roof.
Naturally it depends on the sound, for something as constant as rain or aircraft noise, it is exceptional.

Quality for voice calls was also pretty good, and you can tweak the headset using an app.

  • Looks like they're all gone. Sold out on the Myer Ebay site.

    • haha… bloody Myer! looks like it could have been a pricing error & they have pulled the stock from eBay 'shelves'!

hopefully some OzB members managed to snag a few beforehand!

  • If you like this pair but don't care for the minor upgrades from v2 I suggest checking the v2 out since it's significantly cheaper. I bought a v2 for 300 before the v3 came out so it should be even lower now.

  • The ivory one is still available

  • I just bought one this morning. Looks like there's 1 left.
