  • Working late so this just hits the spot (and the waist) :)

Question - do others tip the delivery driver?

I did used to tip the delivery drivers but now I tend not to as I order and pay online.

Nah, tipping is not required. Drivers and servers all get paid the appropriate amount in Australia. If you are in America however, it would be expected

      • Tipping not required by drivers and servers not really get paid the 'appropriate amount' at least per the law.

I really appreciated tips when I was a delivery driver but it isn't expected. If you're getting a good deal or it's late or a long way from the store, a few bucks tip isn't a bad idea.

      Anecdote ahead:
I only resented one customer for not tipping in the ~18 months I did the job. It was something like 10 pizzas, possibly 20, right on the edge of our delivery area and up a big hill (not the customer's fault but my old ass-car drank petrol on climbs). He paid exact change (card maybe?) and I just felt used.
I later came to realize that he was probably having a worse day than me, hosting a party for tween girls, and he would have been unenthusiastic enough about buying them all full price pizza without arbitrarily handing extra cash to the guy delivering it. All is forgiven.

  • Is a good deal but I've had way too much dominos this past 2 months. Age up my pizza quota for the year because of these deals

Dominos must be killing the other guys with these prices.

Remember 20 years ago when it cost $10-$15 for a pizza and $5 for a burger meal (HJ's, Maccas).
Not it costs $5 for a pizza and $10-$15 for a burger meal.

Hard to go past pizza for a fast meal when it can be done for $5. (+$2 for a frozen coke and your set for Friday night dinner)

Is it only me or everyone feel the same?
    The pizzas size getting smaller
