Mine lapsed about a month ago, as always, don't renew until you have to, as offers like this can come along.

For those taking up this offer, I would wait until the day before the new PS+ games are released, so you get this months, and next months and get the maximum time from your sub. Might only add a week, but it all counts.

    • can you clarify the day this would be?

havent bothered subscribing before, but this is cheap and i just bought doom..

      • +2

They haven't announced it yet, but I would guess Tuesday the 7th will be the last day you can get the current games, and at about 9-10pm AEST the new ones will be up.

      • New games confirmed as being available on the 7th - https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2016/05/31/nba-2k16-and-gone…

        • NBA2k16, alright!

so optimum signup is the anytime on the 7th?

        • @autolux:

Yes, do it before 7pm AEST to be safe to get current months games.

  • +5

Just bought the new xbox elite and was looking for this

    • +16

Wow, Microsoft are advancing faster then I thought with the whole cross-platform thing. :)

    • Yes, let us know how you get along with this. Don't forget to thank Bill Gates for offering this promotion.

      • +2

I jumped the gun on this one

    • What do yo mean ?

  • To clarify, is it $69.95 for 15 months? Not 69.95 pm?

    • +15

No it's definitely $69.95 per month. That's why it's such a good bargain.

Is the offer available for those who already have a current subscription?

    • No.

      • +4

        But are you sure?

        • +1

Pretty sure, plus it's mentioned a few times up the top. Have a read again if you didn't notice it the first time.

        • -4

@rukia: I'm figuring he was just kidding

        • Hmm, maybe he was. snuke can you please confirm?

        • @rukia: if you read between the lines he actually confirms already

        • +1

          @rukia:

If I only I provided a link to the T&Cs

  • is this USD? whats the best way to pay? is it better to have a US or AU account to signup with?

    • +5

No, it is Aus, otherwise I would clearly have USD in the title, the link would be to the US store not the Aus one etc….
The PS+ games are the same, they cost the same right now, USD $49.99 = AUD $69.59, so you should get this deal where you get an extra 3 months worth.
You can buy US PS+ with some deals for about USD $40 (AUD $55)

      • if my account is US and i signup for this, will it all just work fine? or will i need to create an AUS account?

        • Need an au account

  • I've currently got two accounts one US and AUS. the US has the ps plus and I play all my games on that account along with my friends list etc. the Aus is just there in case there is a cheap game somewhere on Aus store. my US ps plus is going to run out soon, if I buy this for the Aus account, will I still be able to multiplayer and everything on my US account without any ps plus on the US account? the free games that ps plus give doesn't concern me if I lose that, so that is not an issue

    • Yes, as long as the primary account on the console has PS+, all other accounts, regardless of region can access multiplayer.
But as you mentioned, all US acquired PS+ "free" games will no longer be playable.

  • +2

I got a JB gift card, can I go buy a 12 month ps voucher in store and still get this deal?

Or is it by buying online only with your credit card, hence they can charge you renewal later?

    • +1

You can buy a PSN card from JB, add those funds to your PSN wallet, then you use that to buy this promo.

      • +3

Thats exactly what i always do. Especially since the PS credit card hack a few years ago.
Actually its what the mrs does.
        Generally goes like this.

Me: Babe can you get me a PSN card from JB….
Mrs: AGAIN!???! When will you grow up?
        Me: Never! Thanks in advance

  • My PS+ expires on the 11th.. The day after this promotion ends. Maybe if I try and get it at midnight there will be a delay, if they didn't give me those free days of PS+ then this wouldn't be a problem!

    • Maybe do some tricky thing making a new separate account the day before, and setting as primary account on console. Unsure on this though.

  • Really good deal, PSN deals are rare so don't think twice if Ur renewing or if Ur new to PSN.

Unfortunately for me l renewed about 2 weeks ago to play uncharted 4 multiplayer :( I'll have to wait till next year

    • +2

So good it wasn't worth a positive vote.

    • Whats UC4 MP like? On previous versions had noticeable lag.

      • +1

I have played a couple of hours (only long enough to get the trophies) and there was no noticeable lag for me. In fact, I remember thinking a couple of times that it was really quite snappy - like when I was able to take down people mid-grapple-swing by actually shooting at them - rather than leading them.

      • +1

It only lags if not enough players online and you get connected elsewhere. But I was still playing without lag when I got connected to Japanese players or south east Asia. I'm loving it once I got the hang of it.

  • Bugger! Just bought a month a few days ago because I couldn't stomach paying full price for a year :(

  • Just renewed, very happy! +1 from me. Anyone watched "Powers" included in PS+ ? I just noticed this when I login to PSN Store today.

  • My current monthly will expire on the 22nd…if I were to sign up a new account just for the PS Plus, will I loose all my previous games?

    • Yes, they are tied to your account.

      • I need to understand this a bit better.

        I have 2 accounts, one with ps+ (account A) & one without (account B). Acc A's ps+ is expiring June 29.

Currently, games that were bought (not free monthly games) with account A are playable on the same ps4 using account B. I have literally just checked this now..

So what exactly would I lose?

I'm planning to get the 15m for 12m with account B closer to the 10th June and then let account A's ps+ expire on the 29th.

Just so we are clear, both of my accounts are psn accounts, I'm not talking about any locally created ps4 only account.

        • Any game you have purchased is yours always, it is only the "free" games you loose until Acc A is PS+ again.

        • @snuke:
          Ah ok, awesome thanks!

I don't think I really care about the free games, well I'll find out after the 29th lol

What I thought was, when acc A lapses that acc B couldn't play games bought by acc A.

        • @nismo:

No, as long as Acc A is set as Primary, Acc B can play them.

        • @snuke:
Sweet, I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the info and prompt replies 👍

  • I completely messed up my chances, by accidentally buying the 12 month subscription in woolies instead of $70 in psn gift cards :(

It doesn't give you the extra 3 months.

    • Correct, I did that a year ago when they emailed me a free 2 moths code.
You have to buy this particular deal that I have linked to.

      • Yeah, I was in a rush and grabbed the wrong thing facepalm. I tried to get a refund, but since it was already activated, no go!

I have a few options but not sure if I will bother, maybe I'll do option 3:

        1. Gift it to someone
        2. Sell it (and probably lose $)
        3. Save it for next year (& buy a $70 GC now to use) & hope there's no offer around!

I also received this offer by email (before I saw this post) and I can access the deal via that & can also on the PS4 Store / Web Store..

        • You say you have activated it, but do you mean you haven't fully processed it?

        • @snuke:

          I didn't say I had activated it.

It was "Activated" at time of purchase.

          I haven't "Redeemed" it yet.

And when I tried to get a refund I hadn't even scratched off the code. Woolworths policy is to not allow refunds on "Activated Cards" This thing is activation automatically happens at the checkout when you buy it (I used self checkout). Which makes sense because if it's not activated, it's worthless.

        • @nismo:

Gotya, yes, can;t refund as now it has an expiry date. So you have 12 months to use use. I would simply do option 3.

        • @snuke:
Ah, then I can't do option 3 because getting the 15 month offer now means the card I bought will expire 3 months before my ps +

          Or am I missing something?

        • +1

          @nismo:

No, you can stack it. This deal requires that you have no active sub, some others deals don;t require this, but you can add that card at anytime.

        • @snuke:

Yes!! Thank-you, finally a way out of this mess I created!

  • Seems to have not working for me.
I registered with a new id and took the 14 day trial. Now when I want to renew it does not show me the promotion. Instead it shows the regular 12 month pricing model.
What to do as I already have a AU ps plus account named yy that I created recently and alreqdy started playing online and collecting trophies and ranks.

Can I create a second AU ps plus account named xx, purchase the 15 month promo on that account, set that account as primary and then continue playing on my yy account
    online?

    Any help guys?

    • Don't go to Renew, go the link at the top, buy it through the web store to be sure - https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-au/reward_game/playstati…

      • Doesn't work.. It says you are not eligible to download as I have ps plus. Which is the 14 day trial.

        Please help.

        • Well that explains that, you have an active PS+ sub. As clearly stated in the OP, this is only for accounts with a non active sub. When does your 14 day trial end?

        • 11 June..
          But can I do this
create a second AU ps plus account named xx, purchase the 15 month promo on that account, set that account as primary and then continue playing online on my main account where the trial will expire on June 11?

        • @shivaussie:

You can, personally as it is only a new ID, I would move on from it, it is always better to have everything tied to one account if possible. Your acc is only a week old, so not much history you can't build again.

  • signed up, thanks again for this! lookin forward to some NBA2K16, oh yeh!

  • I let my subscription lapse but when i click on the deal it says not available for purchase. Is it because i had a sub before? Thanks

    • No, mine lapsed just over a month ago, and I just purchased it.

      • It worked on the PlayStation itself, just not in the browser.
