        Any mobos for this support DDR4? Have this in an H81 and looking at the GTX 1080 and wondering if any other upgrades are needed in case it bottlenecks.

          Unlikely, don't think the z97 chipset supports ddr4 at all.

          Wouldn't suspect that ddr3 would bottleneck be GPU, minimum I'd use in any gaming PC would be 1600Mhz though now.

        Which Emu do you use? Project 64? Last time I used it, it barely worked. Do you have a USB N64 controller?

          Yeah project64… seems noone made a better one since… still glitchs a bit but mostly ok. Just use a logitec usb controller. Only use this as good games for my 5yo likes to play like super smash bros.

    Sorry Spackbace I wasnt really looking for one… well i was a few weeks ago when my MB died on me but luckily it was covered by warranty and i could not find one high end ASUS or Gigabyte MB for this CPU 1150 socket Z97. there were a few MSI boards left but I'm a GB or ASUS man from way back. It just amazed me why they keep making this perfectly good overclockable CPU and list all the MB's as end of life.

      Because it's still very good for its performance especially for k series(unlocked), its power can be pushed even further. This locally still sells close to $500.
