Edit: Guys, bought it from Mittagong, NSW store. camera works well and 720p is very clear. Switches between day and night mode automatically. Really professional looking unit and pan and tilt works well(no sound of motor etc). I am going to use it as baby monitor. Just one annoying thing is that there is a wifi symbol at the front of the unit which had LED behind it. When connected to wifi this symbol has steady light and when accessing camera, it blinks. I had to put electrical tape over it as its very visible when in dark. I may open up the unit and disconnect this led later. iOS and android apps are available although with basic viewing functions and if you want to change any settings then it can only be done via Windows software. Local help desk is based in Victoria. The product seems to be from 2013 which could be the reason for clearance. If you are looking for no fuss and low cost camera then go for it. Remember that it doesn't have many customisable features.

    How easy DIY installation ?

    • +1

Easy, just put it wherever you want and plug it into power & Ethernet or hook it up to WiFi

If you install it on the ceiling, it is not that easy to plug to power as you need to go to inside the roof right ?

        • +1

Correct, unless you want wires dangling down haha.

Do you REALLY need to ask this question?

I mean truly… if people aren't capable of understanding such concepts, should they be even contemplating their own purchase (let alone installation) of technology products?

  • Cant find it on the Bunnings site searched on Orion 7 Network Camera, Maybe store specific?

  • Price is very good for 720p. Should be much better picture than many of the 640x480 still going around like at Aldi.

Bit worried about how good the night vision would be as it says 10m, but the max power consumption is low at only 7W.

  • Bought this one, having problem with Infra Red leds reflecting on the window, it's crap and can't do anything about it if I want to use night vision.

    • Oh bugger. Return it. Bunnings are very good at accepting returns and no questions asked. Sorry about it- mine is working fine as baby monitor.

  • Wonder if this camera has IR cut off? The specs dont mention it :(
