  • How do you buy from these guys if you have to membership or points. How much does the Bose come to

How much does the Bose come to

Around $310 worth of points… based on the numbers on that page…

Thanks man. I got no points and no membership so all good

you're much better off buying the items for cash…

not just because of what the points are artificially 'worth' but also the added costs of acquiring them…

  • The Bose headphones was even cheaper when they had the 30% sale.

    • They are still 30% off though?

      • Pretty sure at 30% off the Bose headphones were 34k point. Now they have jacked up the points redemption.

        • With the extra 10% off code from the previous thread it brought them down to about 36k points (valid for May only)

  • Got a bag from there to use up my QFF points the other day. Not worth keeping them now Woolies have stopped giving you points.

You can turn $10 Woolworths Dollars into 870 Qantas Points if you think it is worth your while.

  • Thought there was a post within the last few weeks that already had the Bose headphones discounted. Cant seem to find it now.

It was removed as apparently it was targeted as it contained a bday code for a further 15% off that not everyone could use. You can use MAY2016 to get a further 10% off though

  • Since flying with virgin for work now I've been sitting on some qantas points for a while - now i have a sandwich press and 2 gopro mounts. Thanks OP

  • Hm tempting. Being lazy but does anyone know if its still worth it to buy with points if you intend to use your points for upgrades in the future? Planning to fly to the UK in the future and sitting on about 110k pts. Would like to upgrade to prem econ

    • I was in a similar situation and decided it was not worth upgrading. I flew with a different airline instead.
To upgrade you need to buy the more expensive flexible economy tickets and since I don't have status I didn't rate my chances of getting an upgrade on that route high. Also the Dubai to Heathrow leg is operated by Emirates which cannot be upgraded with points.

      • I thought you could use points to upgrade on oneworld partners? I looked at the Classic Upgrade Reward Calculator and its 15k points to upgrade that flight from Econ to Prem Econ

        • Yes, but only certain tickets are eligible for upgrade. If you try and book a flight you will see in the terms and conditions that the cheap economy tickets cannot be upgraded using QFF points.
Instead you will have to buy a more expensive economy ticket so you can use points to upgrade. Only worth it if you are going to business.

  • Got just under 700,000 points now. Just transferred 400,000 points from my work diners card (as I recently resigned) so now flush with points but not much to get. I'll wait till the new Apple Watch comes out and get one of those I think.
