After seeing the CommSec deal I thought I would post this offer. I tried changing racv to nrma in the url and saw the same offer so it may work for other states too

The offer is $200 deposited to your account after your first trade and every 10th trade free. Brokerage rates start from $15.00 and there is no surcharge for conditional orders.

  • i did this the last time this was posted. it works.

i got my $200 and withdrew it striaght away lol

    easy way to make $170

    • Free money yet no positive vote?

Edit: Hmm, I guess the $500 minimum trade makes it a bit more involved.

  • What? You mean they're just going to give you $200 and you don't have to do anything and you can just withdrawl it into your bank account?

Yeh like sund00bie says: It is AFTER your first trade. It is $15 per buy, and then $15 per sell. Also the minimum trade amount is $500. Hence:

      1. Sign up with Bell direct
      2. Deposit $515+ in to your trading account
      3. Buy $500+ of shares (+$15 trade fee)
      4. Get $200 in your Bell Direct account
      5. Sell $500 of shares (+$15 trade fee)
      6. (After your sale has settled in ~3 days) Withdraw $500 + $200 from your account
      7. (Optional) Close your Bell Direct account via fax

      Net gain: $170
      Work required: ~1 hour
      Waiting: ~2 weeks

      • Thats assuming you pick a share that doesnt go down in value…though it could go up lol

        • Yeh that is true; choose blue chip shares to guarantee that. You are only holding on to the share for a few days though!

      • Assume that you are a RACV members.

To become a member, you pay more than $200.
        See http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/2a0380804da9b03e98bfd…

        • You can also join by getting the cheapest option which is roadside assist and thats comes in at 82 dollars per year for full membership or 41 dollars for free2go members

Edit. A easier way to tell is if you're getting the RoyalAuto magazine then you're eligible :D

          • @fuzor: What is free2go ($41)?
BTW, I am still receiving RoyalAuto Magazine even after my RACV membership has expired two months ago.

really? isn't that a giant loophole then? I'm assuming that you require NRMA roadside assistance for this, what about free2go? cheer for deal.

  • Works for RACQ too (Race Around Corners Quickly).

    • LoL
Wonder what is equivalent for RACV ?

  • Excuse my ignorance, but is it sufficient to simply have road side assistance with these companies, rather than full blown house insurance etc?

    Thanks.

    • I would assume so.

If you are not member, doesn't work.

  • Does anyone know if the NRMA/RACV membership has to be in the same name as the trading account?

ie: Can I use a friends or another family members account number?

  • +1

i used my uncles account he bought nrma membership under his name but the trading account is my name

  • I already hold my shares with bell direct. Is there anyway I can still take advantage of this?

  • So would the trading account have to be in the same name as the NRMA/RACV account? Thanks.

I currently trade with commsec. If anyone is wondering, you could simply buy $500 worth of BHP shares at market price then immediately submit a sell order at market price and there is two trades and your money back. You would be unlucky to lose much money within this process. Just dont do this near the opening of the market, aka at 10:05am.
