Pioneer A10 2 Channel Amplifier $250.40 @ Kogan eBay

80
CLICK20

Original eBay 20% off selected stores deal posted by ShamelessBargains, however I see no shame in that.

This deal also came about through the post by Spackbace posted here detailing the pioneer home audio sale at Kogan. If you are a Qantas frequent flyer you can also use the code provided in their last e-mail for $20 off per $100 spent to purchase the amp from their home website for about the same price.

50W per channel, A/B speakers, Phono MM and a pretty good looking unit. Specifications here.

Average price is usually $499 so a %50 saving.

Tempted to pull the trigger on the VSX830 talked about in the linked post. Ticks all the boxes as far as I can tell. Anyone want to convince me not to? 😅

    • The specs look pretty damn good and for $491 on the ebay store you probably need little more convincing v1p3r.

EDIT: Just noticed kaboomxyu mentioned the same thing

  • 50w per channel is pretty anaemic isn't it?

I'm after a decent 2 channel music amp, I'm guessing this isn't it?

No it's not. 50w RMS per channel will easily annoy neighbors (unless you have a large property).

The VSX830 also mentioned in the comments here is as follows:
Power Output: Watts per Channel (20Hz-20kHz,.08%THD@8ohm 2ch Driven) 80 Watts

Best way to get your head around power ratings is go into an hifi store (not JB) and ask the people to show you 50w rms.

    • 50w per channel is pretty anaemic isn't it?

No. Unless you're running terribly inefficient speakers. Even then, it's probably only an issue if you want to play it at deafening volumes.

    • OK, cool thanks for the replies. So is this amp decent then, good clean circuit, etc?

      • Reviews I've read are favourable.
