I have had these for 2 months since the DSE clearance started. Very happy with them
I have been using them with my PS4, a simple se-up of inserting the USB transmitter, set mic level in PS4 settings and you're done.

I had seen this review prior - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpelJr7owPI which also put me off buying via eBay. That review is accurate re falling off head if you lean back. I found if I had the head band slightly further forward across my head than with other headsets, it was no longer a problem. 2 months later, and it is like putting them on normally now, I don’t have to think about it.
My head has a circumference of 59cm, I find the G933s firm, yet not overly tight. I will adjust the bands retention ever so often to loosen or tighten if I feel the need; headband could be slightly wider to disperse the pressure.
Sound is far superior to my Turtle Beach PX5s or the Bose QC20s I was using. Bass is very solid which both of those two lacked. Volume adjusting is easy too, mic seems to be received well, easy to mute by pressing a large button above the volume dial. Raising the mic boom up should also mute, however this has not been reliable, I have to fix it every now and then by removing the battery.
Played with Battlefield 4, Rainbow 6 Siege and Battlefront. In all cases they picked up all the detail I was looking for. Gave me a better mix of game sound and still able to clearly hear chat when in chat party.

Wireless range is great, still hear clearly about 10m away through a few walls.
Overall very happy with them, may get a second set for the misses to use.

  • I was thinking of getting these or the Corsair VOIP. Do you find the G933 quite heavy after a few hours of play?

    • No, I can get a heat build-up, but that is normal for over the ears, and me. One thing I enjoyed using the Bose QC20s, was no heat build-up as they are in ears.
The pressure I feel from the start remains the same, they aren’t too heavy, but as I said above, they would be nicer with a band that was 50% wider to disperse the pressure a bit more. I do notice they weigh more the PX5s, part of that comes back to the band again. The PX5s are wider, and user a plusher padding.
Thinking about, every now and then, I will just shift them back and forth while in a long session, but I wouldn’t ever say too heavy.

      • I'm using a Bose QC25 with a modmic which is a good weight for me. I find it really annoying having two cables coming from my headphones all the time hence the interest in a wireless headset. I think heat build up over time is okay and normal for battery operated device. Similar to using your mobile phones for a few hours. It will definitely get hot

        • Battery or not, there will be heat build up. The padding acts as an insulator and traps heat radiating from your ears and head. I hadn’t thought about the battery though, you could be onto something, although I have never noticed one ear get hotter than the other, and the battery is only on one side, this was the same with my PX5s.

ALWAYS read professional reviews first as even at this price, odds are you could get better.

    • Such as …………..????????????????

I did watch and read a tonne of reviews before getting these. I was thinking of Astro A50s, Steelseries Wireless H, and TB PX800s. I didn’t come across any other “top” level wireless models to consider.
For the price difference from the G933s to the others, it became a must buy and try. This is why I waited for the DSE pricing, so I could easily take them back if not happy. I was/am happy, so now I recommend them.

      • No idea but I did say "odds are". And that RRP is a lot more than what you pay from most places, can be had normally for $230ish, so was more advice to not jump on it due to the supposed savings (like I usually do, derp) and actually find out first. Turns out they are apparently pretty damn good so go for it.

        • +1

RRP was for reference, basically because I could not be bothered comparing several sites as I had done in the past. I know this is a great price, cheaper than what I paid for them from DSE 2 months ago. But yes, a quick google of anything is advised, and you will see that practically everyone sells them below RRP, including EB Games.

As for “odds are you could do better”. I wouldn’t have posted it if I could, but you don’t know how I vet things.

    • Which other headphones do you recommend at a similar price point?

These are apparently very good, was more just dont impulse buy and find out first :)

      • I can personally recommend the Kingston HyperX Cloud II (they are not wireless but bang for buck are great)

  • +3

Might be good to add the G633, they are sitting at $151.10 Delivered. Might be a better deal for those who prefer a wired headset.

  • Have you experienced any fuzzy sounding noise with these headphones? I got mine yesterday, tried them last night and you can hear what sounds like static/fuzzy noise during music etc, especially in the left ear piece.. I think one of the speakers might be stuffed.

    • No static with mine. I have only used them with PS4 wirelessly.

  • Not good for VR if it falls off your head

    • Read my review, that doesn't happen if you have the band about 2cm further forward than your usual headset. So a slight change in angle to put it on the forward section of your skull instead of right on the apex.

      • Wow sorry I just read the first bit and posted this comment
        Thanks for the heads up

  • What's a decent and affordable headphones for gaming? I'll be using it mainly for CSGO. TIA guys

    • Both of those parameters are relevant.

  • I use these every morning for my gaming/study + work + music sessions. Love them. I have my PS3/PS4/PC running through a 4k Bravia, and all sound runs through it to speakers so I don't bother with the 7.1 and have no need for a mic. I prefer the ease of use of leaving it all plugged in. Sound quality is excellent. I can walk all through the house with no signal loss or quality depreciation. For a 3-4 hour session, I have no issues at all with heat and I HATE heat so am really sensitive to it typically. Cannot recommend them highly enough. The only issue I have is they have made me want a sound card to eliminate all the PC buzzes and noise …

  • You guys should look at some of the Amazon reviews, there seems to be some major issues.
