  • Searched for date 13/10/2016 - 6/11/2016 from Sydney to hong Kong return $798.

Can you find a date which it is $599 and listed as an example?

    • I just tried 15/10/2016 - 23/10/2016 = $596

  • +1

I have been watching these fares since 6am. The fares are not actually live yet. I can't see anything under $700 to Hong Kong.

    • Qantas have done a round $700 mark at Feb(Chinese new years sale ) and now is even lower.

HOw could the air fare be this low?

      • It will probably become active at some time today. However the deal is now on the front page & I'm pretty sure no one has been able to actually see any $599 fares.

        • So if I use IWTF and want the cheapest Bris to Shang AND return HK to Bris for these prices how to do i program that into the search? Can be done on Qantas site. By the way how much does the CC add?

  • Just saw the email and it's a great deal, especially Shanghai. Can safely assume it'll be a bit cheaper with other online travel agencies.

  • It's just outside Chinese nNew Year :(

  • How about for dates before October?

  • Since Qantas has stuffed up and not made their fares available on their website but have released them to 3rd parties, we have changed the deal to IWTF which ends up a bit cheaper. We'll continue to monitor the situation.

    • Fares are now available on Qantas' website

    • Any reason for choosing to highlight IWTF?

      • Because you need to say where the deal is available?
No different to saying Dick Smith were once upon a time selling cheap Eneloops.

        • not quite the same.
Dick Smith at the time were probably only the one selling Eneloops for cheap.
I haven't looked into it but other third party sites means expedia etc could have been highlight but only IWTF was highlighted.
The answer could quite possibly the rep was active in this thread but could be seen as favouritism.

@dasher86: I know exactly what you were alluding to but I think you're being a little sensitive.

I accept your point that Dick Smith could've been the only ones that were selling Eneloops for cheap.

However, as you have said (and I haven't checked either) that Expedia may be selling it for cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't have an issue with Expedia or whoever else being included but now that I think about historical IWTF deals, they are usually only advertising themselves (particularly when the rep is posting himself which is understandable).

Anyway, mod has replied below. I think if we know this is available on other 3rd party sites then sure why not include them! We just don't know whether it actually is available elsewhere, and if it is, it would be like us commenting that Bing Lee and Harvey Norman are selling cheap Eneloops too and just a matter of a mod editing it in :)

      • They commented above, contacted us, and posted a dupe (where I took links from) . If you have a better suggestion then let us know.

          answer solved =)

Good price, but the return leg includes a layover in Hong Kong.

Can you reverse flights at the same price? e.g. Shanghai to Sydney return?

    • i do not think they allow you to do

  • +1 just for the picture alone

  • If I already bought the SYD HKG 798 is it possible to cancel and buy this?

    • Yes, but I suspect your cancellation fee will be 100% or $200.

  • anyone has experience with bestjet? is it reliable?

  • Apart from the price, are there any differences between buying from online agents and from airline direct?
