  • Can it use for camera storage?

    • What, storing your actual camera?

Yes. I want to have something to put my OMD E-M10 in and control the humidity in side. Is there anything wrong?

This is just cheap plastic for basic storage, I wouldn't be putting anything in there of that sort of value. Plus I doubt they're watertight

You're probably better off with half price Sistema food containers at Coles this week.

        • @octagonalman: Lol. Just bought it. Thanks

        • @tadinhah: which one you bought? the bunning or coles?

        • @eisniwre: The Sistema one. I'm waiting for the hygrometer to see if it works.

For general storage, a sealed container may not be that great an idea.

Put some Silica Gel in what ever container as well(and your camera bag and lens storage).

          http://www.aurarum.com.au/search?controller=search&orderby=p…

Edit: I bought some of these last year and just checked and there is no seal anyway. They seem a bit better than the usual containers and having the deep box is very handy.

        • @octagonalman: Sistema are garbage. They're not water tight despite trying to look like a Lock & Lock which is water tight.

        • @DoctorOwl:

My soup makes it to lunchtime without spilling after travelling in a bicycle pannier bag. I think they do alright.

@octagonalman: I'm glad you like it but it didn't work for me. I put water in and turn it upside down and water comes out.

My primary issue with this is that they don't say airtight or water tight - but they're made to look like Lock and Lock. They do this by having the rubber gasket on the lid which is meant to be to provide those features.

Except in Sistema it does nothing, it's just for show.

I emailed them a few years ago to let them know I felt it was deceptive, and why go to the effort of making it look the same but not work the same, and that surely it would be a benefit to NZ to have a top notch plastic tupperware contender. I mean they already have the box. Now make it work properly.

          They didn't reply.

  • Great for storing all my PC part junk

I use mine for screws, bolts, nuts and other assortment of things left over from constructing things… Not sure there was supposed be stuff left over, but I need a place to store those pieces.

  • These are great! They're filled with USBs and eneloops in the back of my car.

    • Good for Lego storage?

      • They're kinda small so it depends on how much you've got. Pop into bunnings and see for yourself.

    Best for eneloops

Enough room to take them out easily with fingers & sort them easily at will, yet not too much room where they can jiggle excessively or bang into other things. Plus not too deep or too shallow. Just perfect. There are lots of little compartments to sort a large collection of eneloops & keep them grouped by date of manufacture. Not that I ever do that of course. Cough.

    • Love the eneloop dedication! :)

Thanks OP! I went to my local Bunnings and had to search a bit to find them - they were on the top shelf with some cardboard hanging over the sign. They were in the household storage aisle if anyone is wondering! :)

    • If you may. Which store please. Will save me a hunt.

I have found some of these useful for general meds as it can be stored in a safe place.

No worried Kevan2 - store was Bunnings Springwood, QLD.

  • Just bought 6 sets of the Masters ones

    https://www.masters.com.au/product/101784975/tekraft-5-in-1-…

They are very good quality - $5 for 5 = $1 each which is awesome.

Might compare to these Bunnings ones and see if they will stack. The Bunnings contains one deep bin, which is not included in the Masters ones

    • Where is $5 for 5 deal?

      • I linked to the deal in my ^^ post ^^ see?

Got a boot full of these, for tools, screws, bits, blades, EVERYTHING.
I'm the go-to guy on site… and in a "car".
    PERFECT

    • Tax write-off too :P
