LG WD14022D6 7.5kg Front Load Washer @ $679.20
LG WD1402CRD6 Front Load Washer/Dryer 7.5/4kg @ $916.8

Yes I'm aware it is also $848 @ Betta but pickup is limited to very few people, it is a bigger hassle to organise pickup and the delivery is significantly dearer.

Seem to be a very good price for both. Have done some searching and maybe be the cheapest for both items. Currently $719 @ Count Down Deals and $1015 @ Appliance Online respectively.

LG washing machines are very well regarded and personally considering to buy one of these. However, I'm a little hesitant on a washer/dryer combo. Heard some bad reviews online for all brands. Be great to hear some opinions of those that have/had them. No shortage of those on ozbargain ;)

Also notable is the LG 7kg front loader WD12021D6 @ $599.20 but has been even cheaper at a crazy $542

If there is any errors in the listing just let me know. I'm notoriously bad for making multiple errors and revisions. I've already made one for that previous sentence alone :)

I purchased a LG WD14700 washer/dryer from HN for $1k probably about 7-8 years ago. Still hasn't missed a beat despite moving house 3 times. I'd quite happily buy another.

Check if the LG washer/dryer has a lint filter, if not then I'd suggest it will accumulate over time like my older combo unit, I've replaced several parts on mine (about $100 all up) at the 6 year stage, it gets a lot of use though. Should make another 4-6 years I'd think

I bought an LG washer just over 10 years ago. A cheap 7.5kg model. It still works well. Only the plastic handle (which needs to be squeezed to open) on the door has broken twice, but I was able to fix that myself with a spare part I bought from eBay. Can vouch for their reliability in general.

I purchased this one much cheaper when Bing Lee had 20% off 3-4 weeks back. Their normal price is the same even today at which I bought, which is lower than the listed price by The Good Guys. Check here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-WD12021D6-7Kg-Front-Load-W…

    • That is a great price for that washer. Definitely worth noting for someone looking but not necessarily needing one straight away

  • if pay for delivery on ebay, does that include installation?

    • I would say no. But it's just hooking up a couple of hoses, isn't it? Not rocket science.

    • White goods delivery generally also install the stuff. My washer was installed by the guy who delivered it…

    • Can confirm that it does not include installation. Just received a Dryer today and the driver just left the dryer in the place I told him to. I had to unpack and install it.

I can't speak for LG front loaders, but I had a 10kg LG top loader about 6 years ago.

It was and still is comfortably the best washing machine I have ever used by a very large margin.
My Bosch front loader is total crap in comparison.

  • which one is better - this or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Electrolux-7kg-Front-Load-Was…

Also, do you think 2 people can lift this if pickup (i read on masters website is 77kg)

    • Not without an L trolley.

      • You could do it without an L trolley. I wouldn't advise it, my washing machine was done this way.
Also depends on how much the 2 people can lift.

    • LG will be more repairable than the Electrolux.
By that I mean that, for similar faults, an LG appliance will be affordable to fix and an Electrolux appliance will not. Therefore the LG will probably last longer.
As a repairer of both brands, I wouldn't buy Electrolux over LG unless it was at least 25% cheaper.

how about this one from fisher & paykel? http://www.harveynorman.com.au/vacuum-laundry-appliances/was…

        • I have no experience with this brand, but it is not one I would spend my own money on.
The only brands I would buy and recommend personally are: Miele, Bosch and LG. Each is the best value in their price range when you consider total cost of ownership.

Our LG. has a hot water hook up. Not many washers has this option these days. Thumbs up
