  • Is this dryer any good?

  • Has anyone purchased a Stirling dryer before?

We're in the market for a dryer, but online reviews of this brand of dryer aren't kind. That said, the price is great, especially considering the size.

How does this dryer compare to this or this (besides the obvious size/price difference)?

We had a bad experience with Stirling Dryer, ended up returning after a year, received full money back though.

      • Thanks for the feedback.

Mind if I ask which dryer you ended? Seems tough as most have at best, mixed reviews.

We didn't buy any after that. But I found Simpson has good reviews.

Technician from ALDI suggested to buy one with Condenser, but they're expensive. Have a look at Master's Website.

        • @OzSikhs:

          Will do, thanks again :)

          @OzSikhs:

condenser dryers aren't as common in Australia. their upside is they don't need to vent, so ideal if you have it inside the house somewhere like a kitchen or bathroom.

        • @OzSikhs: Condenser driers uses water. So not so good if you want to cut down on water use.

        • @amts:
Rubbish. Condenser dryers condense the moisture vapour and collect it in a tank or are plumbed to a drain. They "create" water if anything.

          WOT????

          No they don't.

Electrolux EDV5051 or 6051 sensor dryer would be my cheapish recommendation. About $400 for the bigger one and $350 for the smaller if you can get on a 20% deal with TGG or similar.

Got a good review by Choice. I'm quite happy with mine.

That said, dryers are pretty simple beasts so limited things to go wrong.

    • I just picked this up on Sunday. Doing what's needed and gets me back in the good books with the wifey.

      • after two strokes and a being a smoker,if shes still with you, i'd say shes a keeper.

Ended up going for the Electrolux EDV6051 deal instead. Pretty cheap for a sensor dryer.

If these are half as good as the man, the legend… then these will be unbelievable!
Maybe they should sponsor Scott Stirling?

  • Brought the 4KG stirling dryer from Aldi some time ago, it didn't work properly so I returned it the same day. YMMV

  • Went and bought this dryer yesterday
    Works fine, happy with it.
