    Pass..

  • Free is always welcome!
    Thanks.

  • can you apply via via MoneyBackCo and get $11.50 moneyback and the cotd $10?

probably impossible to cancel the subscription without running around a dozen support reps.

    i'll pass as well

    • Yep, that's the same problem i had, dvds in the mail, finally got it cancelled, then they charged me anyway, cause the dvd's never arrived there, people see the packaging they send them in and steal them.

  • No blurays?

  • how long to use the voucher. when does the $10 COTD Gift Voucher expire?

  • -1

    Pretty sure its one year.

  • Went and signed up - now I have come back here and I am reading about the pitfalls.
I populated my DVD "queue" list - should I just go empty it and leave it be I wonder? Are there THAT many problems with the Bigpond DVDs ?

You've signed up, so you may as well try them out.
You won't get any new releases obviously, but if you pick older dvds, then you might well score something.

Make sure you send it back the instant you've watched them, as far as i know their policy hasn't changed with their trials, you can mark the dvd's as "returned" when you send them back, but with a free trial, they don't send any others out until the previous ones have returned to the sorting centre.

Oh, and you know that dodgy Video Store that everyone has used at one time or another?, where you have to check the dvd before you leave the store - to make sure it's the correct dvd, and that it's not scratched beyond recognition?

      Welcome to Bigpond Movies..

In the end, get what you can out of it, ie : maybe a decent movie or two, and your COTD voucher, and if you don't like the service, get out quick, get the dvd's sent back and call to cancel before they take your money…

      • Thanks, will definitely take your advice ;)

  • Watch out!

It looks like you can only take out 10 movies then you will be billed.
The other free trial they advertise is unlimited DVDs, by my reading, this one is not!

  • Does anyone have the instructions on how to cancel it in 4 weeks time?

Update: I think I figured it out - it's a tab in the "my account" section or you just go here:

  • got my voucher today :)
