Hi all,

Just to share this good deal. When purchasing a fridge, it is important to look at the high energy saving rating. What cost the most about a fridge is the costly electricity bill shock because a fridge is switched on 24/7. So do not just buy a fridge that is cheap, because it can hit you with a high amount of bills.

The Energy consumption of this fridge is only 299 Kwh. Other 450L is at least 350-460 Kwh. Do your own research how much can inflict how much bill you can get.

Also, do not forget to cashback using cashrewards for ebay.

  • Will LG customer service bad as their phone?

No idea, but I think their fridge works well. I used to have a LG fridge and it is awesome. Currently using Samsung but moving house soon.

I am now waiting for my girlfriend approval to buy this fridge. But just want to share this deal before it expires tomorrow.

I bought this fridge last August with the eBay 20% off deal.
Back then it was $1357 - 20% and $44.06 for delivery.

Great fridge, very quiet. It was delivered by my local TGG the very next morning.

    • What is your electricity bill like with this fridge?

      do you feel the difference?

      • I don't really have anything to compare to because I was moving in to my first home.

It was the first thing to be delivered though and I ran it for a couple of days without actually living there.
According to the live usage data on myhomeenergy.com.au it was using approx 0.7kWh a day for those days I wasn't living there. Not sure if that helps.

I turned it off after that because I wouldn't move in for another week.

Actually, managed to go in to the daily detail for one of those days where it was just the fridge in the house and no other electrical things.

        • That is pretty good. Based on Perth's Synergy electricity usage charge = 25.7029 cents per unit

          0.7kWh/day = 0.7 unit/day

Calculated electricity bill per year is about $65.67 which is really good considering the size of the fridge. My Samsung 315L is already costing me about $74 per year.

        • wow, what is the thing/app/product that lets you monitor electricity consumption?

        • +1

          @Mr K:
It's provided by the electricity supplier, just have to register and have a smart meter I think.
Check to see if your electricity company or supplier have something similar.

    • I ordered on Sunday had it delivered on Monday by TGG. Very good service.
Had it for a little while now. Great fridge.

  • Does anyone know if I order this with shipping the courier will ring and deliver the fridge up a flight of stairs which is required to get into my apartment?

    • I have no idea about that sorry, probably look for delivery info and see if there is a contact number that you can seek clarification.

    • When I bought a fridge from tgg last month they brought it up my stairs and into my kitchen

  • Be careful this fridge will boot loop lmaooooo

    • I googled it and found that it is a problem for LG G4 mobile phones?
Are you sure this affects the fridge?

      • +3

Don't take what i said seriously, it was only a joke :-)

  • Seems selling $888 at Betta and $999 at Bing Lee

    • I found the difference.

Colour = Graphite (the deal posted is a stainless steel version)
Energy Rating = 3.5 Stars (the model of this deal is 4.5 stars)
Energy Consumption = 450kwh (the model of this deal has only got 299kwh energy consumption)

see website below for more details
      https://www.binglee.com.au/lg-gb-450uple-450l-bottom-mount-f…

    • Those seem to be the 450UPLE rather than the 450UPLX.
I'm not sure the difference between the two exactly but both Betta and Bing Lee show the UPLE as 3.5 star energy rating vs 4.5 for the UPLX.

      Edit: Beaten

FYI Choice magazine recommended the LG-GB-450UPLX fridge in their recent fridge review .It scored 83% overall & they estimate the running costs at $750 over 10 years.

seems like im gonna buy this fridge now.
      thanks for the info

  • LG are apparently making the best fridges right now it was on Accurent Affair recently 😊

    • my last fridge which i replaced 6 months ago was LG and lasted about 12 years with zero problems even survived 4 house moves.

  • well that's confusing my fridge with the fridge mounted at the top was called a top mount cause the fridge is mounted at the top.

    this is the opposite.

    very confusing

    • I was always under the impression that top mount = freezer at the top.
      What model do you have?

    • The product PDF says "Bottom Freezer Refrigerator", so I've corrected the title, even though the eBay listing is still using ambiguous wording.

  • Damn it, I really need a left hinge fridge but still no stainless steel bottom mount on the good guys eBay sale.

    • Have you asked if they can change the hinge side?
