I'm strictly a single malt drinker having tried many blends and not enjoying them. A mate gave me a taste of this and I was pleasantly surprised at the flavour. Bought a bottle from Liquorland for $50.
Like you I prefer the single malts you should try the platinum

I just bought a bottle of yellow Chartreuse, marked down to $59 (from $68). She scanned the barcode off my phone and it came down by $10 to $49. I did use my Flybuys card but the discount came off before that and I don't have a First Choice account linked to Flybuys.
I'm planning to keep going back and making purchases a little over $50 every day until the voucher stops working (it says 14 days). One way it might not continue to work is if it keeps a track of my Flybuys number having already used the deal. If you live near one, use the in-store voucher and go twice.
For a few dollars more, you could get either the Remy Martin VSOP, the Cragganmore or the Dalwhinnie 12yo Single Malt. All 3 are much better value for their quality than the 2 on your shortlist.
