Why do chicken coops have 2 doors? If they had 4 it would be a chicken sedan.

… and the scratchback has 5.

Excellent cage for confining the sisters of those male chicks that were macerated (humanely of course ;-)) at a day old because you want to consume avian ovulations, err, eggs.

These are bird aviary's not chook coops.

All the better - keep birds trapped for their aesthetic appeal / novelty rather than for their ovulations.

    • That's what I thought. Chickens can't fly. They'll never use the majority of that cage. My chicken coop has a bit of height to it (maybe 1.5m) and I've got two perches at different Heights. They only ever sit on the lower one. Although during the day they are never really in their coup anyway. From sun up to sun down I just let them roam around the yard.

They can fly, just not that well. Their wings aren't painted on.

I'd say mine "jump" more than fly.
