Videpro has this for $1047 (free shipping) - and amex holders can also get a $30 statement credit

This was the first place I found.. there may be even better deals around.

@davidchillari - this is the second time you have posted a 'bargain' that is priced quite a bit higher than other shops.. you may want to do more research before posting your deals.

    • Well spotted, hopefully the Rep will lower their price in response to this as Ozbargain is a place for posting bargains.

  • +2

    I don't consider this a deal.

  • Have seen these sell under $1100 at Harverynorman for example no bargain here

These guys are the bane of our existence!!!
    We will show them!!!!
Buy now for $1070 with a high quality Panasonic HDMI cable valued at RRP $129.

    BEAT THAT!!!

    • +2

I don't think you will win any votes with guys on here for "high quality" HDMI cables. I would be surprised if anyone on OZ Bargain has ever paid more than 7 dollars for one.

      • Your price is still higher than Videopro no one cares about a $129 HDMI cable that costs less than $1.00 to make.

    • high quality Panasonic HDMI cable valued at RRP $129.

      lol

      • +2

Please tell me why i would buy it from you for $1070 when i can get it for $1047 from Videpro…?
Im not paying $23 for a hdmi cable.

Also there is nothing in this deal making me want to buy this?, to top that, why come with a "AWESOME DEAL as you say" when you can drop the price by $105 at the drop of a hat.

    • … high quality Panasonic HDMI cable valued at RRP $129.

      Wrong website.

We are in business to make money, not just to please customers without trying to make a profit. Yes, there are other companies that can sell you them cheaper but where are you when it comes to backup service??? We pride ourselves on over 46 years of SERVICE!!!!!!! We offer comprehensive AFTER SALE SERVICE that these other guys can only dream of! There are HDMI cables for $10 but they are crap!!! We are offering a very good HDMI cable. You can try to save $30 and will us S$#T creek if you have any problems…

    Good luck!!!

    • +1

Good luck making it to 47 years in today's landscape with that attitude.

      • Thanks for your vote of confidence…

  • +2

Sorry Dave, you need to research competitors price first and then your target consumer. As mentioned above an overpriced HDMI cable will not sway anyone here + it can be purchased else where cheaper. Not a bargain.

Seems like the only 'buyers' here are shopping ONLY on price and don't feel the need to have after sale service. Have anyone EVER tried to get after sales service from the likes of HN or VP???

    • +1

The answer to part of that question is No - Because any self-respected OZB will not shop at HN unless there is a price error or clearance. To answer the other part - Yes, we are here ONLY on price, as we have such a thing as the Australian consumer guarantee - so we don't need this inflated 'after-sales' service price from what comes across as an arrogant business owner who sells $129RRP HDMI cables.

$2 HDMI cables are the same as $200 HDMI cables - Digital is on or off - the worst that will happen is the cable will break (which I've never had), and you go out and buy another.

      We have a genius here.

You do realize everyone is here for a bargain, not service?

Do you know all the tweaking that can be done to a receiver in setup? There is a lot more than just plugging it in and running the auto setup… That is why we are in business and haven't been destroyed by the big chains. And no a $2 HDMI is NOT the same as a $200 HDMI. Did you know by default a subwoofer WILL NOT work in stereo mode???

    • +3

      $200 hdmi cable. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

sorry i just fell off my chair.

    • +5

Do you know you mention nothing about service, setup or any other information in your description? The description you've posted is the product only, which is more expensive than your competitors.

Instead of being arrogant and defensive, you need to show us how that additional money is a bargain.

There is no brand loyalty if we don't know who you are, so don't get defensive when questions are asked.

I don't think we are your target audience.

Also, I agree that a $2 and a $200 cable are different. A thin piece of copper in a $2 cable may have less reliability/bandwidth, but you can replace it 100 times if it fails. Not everyone is outputting 3D at 4k, and at $200 (or $129), it's a rip retail price which we are not interested in.

Fair enough. I can appreciate price shoppers. We are trying to establish other avenues of customers, but it seems this is not the place. If anyone does want a REASONABLE price with the peace of mind of having their product setup to its best, please contact us.

    • +1

Some people do want the service you're selling in the comments. You need to look at who comes here. I'm on my phone and can't be bothered doing the research for you, but you'll find the majority of users here are male, tech users, between 18-40. Most of us want this product, but know how to connect a few cables up and use Google to set it up properly.

There will be a minority here that may want the after sales services, so don't be discouraged. Just do some research on what you're selling and who you're selling it to. It will be met with a positive experience instead of this..

      • Thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate the feedback.

    • Setup adds no value if people are geographically far away, and the ozbargain audience is Australia wide, so price is important to many especially if they will need it posted.

No bargain here. And work that attitude you will be driving people away.

Dude, you went full retard. Never go full retard.

You would be better off asking a mod to delete this deal, as your comments above are more likely to hurt your business than help make sales.
