    Damn you OZB. Damn you.

  • Versus UE MiniBoom which drops connection all the time?

    • My UE Miniboom never drops connection, maybe you have a faulty unit?

  • Bugger, bought one….Oh well, it's only $15.
    Thanks OP.

  • Luv these as I have one and I hook it up when I play World of Tank on my phone or have it in my car listening to overseas radio channel. Bought 3 - one for Mom, one for Dad, and one for…… Kris Kingle.

  • Thanks OP. Bought 4

  • This or Xiaomi?

    • Xiaomi.

    • Which one Xiaomi?

  • Sold Out for pickup?

    • There will be stock in store too :)

  • Plenty of stock at Robina in various colours on the shelf for $15. Have just collected mine.

  • so this has a mic too? can be used to take calls etc?

  • Can connect via bluetooth to android devices? Bought a logitech UE ROLL from the last deal and it can only connect to apple & microsoft devices, it is invisible to my multiple android devices. Still in the middle of communication with logitech UE customer support, not happy :(

UE Roll's work fine with Android. You have a dud my friend.

      • I think so too, it's a shame since I do like the Roll.

        • I had the same issue with an older no-name bluetooth speaker connecting to my Z2. Had to turn it on, off, on, off, and keep refreshing the bluetooth list on my phone to find it. Same issue with my older Xperia Z. Other android phones had no problems. Had no trouble connecting after the initial pairing.

        • @donnot: I tried with multiple android devices, Xperia Z1, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Xpreria Arc, Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet 2, Samsung Galaxy S5. The Roll was not visible to any of them. Tried refreshing the scan & turn it on and off (both the roll & devices), not working.

The funny thing is, my it was visible to my Dell laptop & Ipad Air & connected to them with no issue.

          Frustrated… first world problem

    • install the app, it appears then, and then stays appeared (don't need to go through the app to activate etc, but you can for remote BT activation/power up etc). UE roll works fine with xperias tab s2 Tab a etc.

      • I have installed the app in my Xperia Z1 as well and it is not visible. I went to the forum to find answer, nothing worked.

  • Price is reasonable

  • One of the best portable bluetooth speakers out in the market.

  • Any idea how long it takes for store to say it is ready for pickup?i ordered mine 21st June.Thx.

    • Got an email to collect a couple of hours after I ordered, give the store a call.

Bought 5 of these, 4 for groomsmen gifts and one for myself.
    Amazing quality - very happy.
I use it all the time. The battery life and sound quality are terrific.
One of my best Oz Bargain buys ever.

      Cool gifts

  • Picked one up yesterday. I know for $15, cant expect much but seriously, it is not loud at all. My samsung's phone speakers are much more louder than it. The reason I got it is because so many people leaving comments saying it is good, but don't waste your money, just pay a little bit more for better speakers. $15 down the drain :(

    • +4

If your phone speakers are louder than this either you have the loudest phone known to man or something is wrong. It is certainly louder than my phone by a long shot. Have you turned the volume up on your phone and the speaker.

      • Agreed. This little speaker is much, much louder than my 6s plus.

        • Something must be wrong with my speaker than. I adjusted it to max volume on the speaker and on my phone and still seems softer than my phone speaker. May try a display model in store to test to see if there is any difference.

        • @runamuck: Take it back and try another or see if you can try another in store

  • Great speaker I'm using it plugged into a mini headphone guitar amplifier to practice without having to use my main amplifier. It's great for when I want to practice anywhere in the house without making too much noise.

  • Just picked up one of these today and it's a pretty good speaker for the size/price but on higher volumes you can hear a little rattle on bass lines/drops. Anyone else getting this or did I get a faulty unit?

    • I don't notice any distortion or rattles :/. Might have a faulty unit.

  • Just got one. No way near as loud as my X50 sadly :( (maybe gets to 1/2 the level). Not quite as clear also, so if you don't need the mic, the X50 is probably a better buy for $26 @ OW.

    • I think it has more to do with luck of the draw as I bought two X100 and one is definitely louder than the other.

      • Did a bit more of a comparison and using the 3.5mm input there is about a 10% difference in volume between the two so not much really, but no discernible difference in volume when using Bluetooth for some reason.

  • Got one, pretty good for a $15 Bluetooth speaker. Much better than my iPad and iPhone speakers

  • Got one a few days ago. Speaker is about half the diameter of the grille but still does a good job for the size. Tried talking to someone just briefly, they could understand me, unlike the Logitech Mini Boombox I tried. For $15 a decent bluetooth speaker.

  • The website is saying $29.95. Is this over or am I missing something?

Just a post on my experience trying to buy this.

I placed a Click & Collect order for one of these when it was first posted on OZB (around 10 days ago). My card was debited and I got the email that the store will contact me when it was ready to be picked up. As of today, I hadn't heard anything, so I called them and asked for an update. The customer service rep of the web store told me that C&C orders are usually ready within a day or two, but he wouldn't know why it has taken so long, so he transferred me to the store to get further detail. The staff member that answered told me that they have 30 odd orders for this speaker, but no stock at this store. She said they might have some in NT or QLD, but they have none at her store. She said her manager was planning to call people back to advise all the people that placed the order. I asked why they couldn't transfer the stock from other stores, she asked if I was willing to pay for this…I said no, this is not my issue, they need to sort it out. She said they can't authorise that, so she couldn't help me. I asked to speak to her manager, and she advised she can put me through to the warehouse (I didn't quite hear exactly).

The warehouse manager told me that the issue was these speakers are discontinued and they don't have any stock. The website and each store is owned individually, and the website has no idea how much stock each store has. There is no rule to say a store has to transfer stock to other stores, they can only request. He said he has repeatedly provided feedback that the webstore shouldn't be processing C&C orders when they don't know if the store has stock.

I asked him what he is going to do to resolve the issue, he told me he can't do anything today as it was Friday after 4pm, but he will call Logitech first thing tomorrow to see if they can send some more stock (even though it is discontinued) or send the new model. Otherwise they can only refund.

I find this a really bad customer experience. It does not seem like their C&C process has been implemented correctly if the website doesn't know the stock levels of each store??? What is the point of the Check Stock button? Unless they are telling me fibs?

Will provide an update on Monday I guess…

    • It does not seem like their C&C process has been implemented correctly if the website doesn't know the stock levels of each store???

I tried seeing the stock levels at my local store online moments ago but the website wasn't having it. Decided to pay the $5 delivery.

    • Correction "…he will call Logitech first thing Monday…"

      Hello,

As I expected, I just got a call from TGG to say they can't send me the speaker because they have none left.

They advised they can offer a refund or the X50 for $26.

I went for the refund and also provided feedback that it is a pretty poor customer service experience and they need to fix there systems to avoid this happening again. She said she will pass it on…

      • I created an account to report that I had the same experience as John Kimble. TGG's systems are not up to the task so I will be thinking twice before ordering from them again. Overall, a very disappointing outcome.

  • I placed an order on the 21st, I gave a call a few days ago and they said it will be delivered as I've "paid" (no I didn't) for shipping. I still haven't received it.

  • Not coming up with stock for any stores near me

  • $20 inc shipping to Tas. Not bad.

After the payment I got a web page saying an error had occured but the transaction still went through.

    We'll see what happens.

  • 1st July. Better late than never. Bought one.

I don't like the fact that it takes an embedded lithium-ion rechargeable battery (this will degrade with enough charge cycles and will probably be difficult to replace) but we'll see what we can do about that when the time comes. I'd much rather it use my eneloops.

x100 seems to get a high degree of positive reviews on amazon.

    • Yeah, internal batteries are a drag - no doubt an integral part of their business model.
      $5 delivery to Sydney.
      Let's see what happens…

  • Bought one for the Ozbargain spirit and peer pressure :-)

  • brought one, but what should i do with it? anyway $15. Thanks OP

    • Maybe try listening to music via your phones/tablet Bluetooth?.

      • my friend needs one! perfect gift for her.

  • Grabbed two. Damn OzB!
No stock in Syd. Delivery was cheap enough.

  • Got 2, thanks OP

  • looks like black/grey is gone according to the Goodguys website now.
    other colours still available.

  • I ordered mine on Friday and its coming from TOWNSVILLE QUEENSLAND? I live in Melb btw. It will take forever to auspost to deliver!

    • goodguys send according to which stores still have stock; not a central warehouse.

Looks like stock is running down.
