Perfect size for Dad to step on in bare feet at 3am.

    • Yup, it is a one-way ticket to Heaven.

  • What's the RRP on these? Is this actually a discount?

    • +2

      $2.50

    • +1

It's about as cheap as they get.

    • +4

More than you can afford pal.. Ferrari.

  • "Constructed of die-cast metal" yes maybe the top part is, but the underneath which USED to also be metal
has been plastic on almost all models for many years now..

Yet the price has still gone up and up ….

    Thanks for the post, OP.

Just adding that there's an offer on at the moment too, where you can claim a free child's ticket to Dreamworld when you purchase a Hot Wheels Car.

Simple purchase any Hot Wheels diecast car between 16th June - 11th August 2016 and go online to validate your purchase and receive your voucher.

Every valid claim received will be awarded a voucher redeemable for 1 free child's ticket (valid for a child aged 3-13 years, inclusive) when one (1) full price adult 1-day ticket is purchased, with each ticket valid for one (1) day entry into Dreamworld and Whitewater World, QLD.

The free child ticket is valued at $90 (Gate price) and can only be redeemed with the purchase of an eligible full priced adult ticket by the claimant. They can then use this voucher at either Dreamworld or Whitewater World ticket booth at the front entry/gate only. Voucher must be redeemed by 5pm (local time in QLD) on 24th December 2016. Offer not valid in conjunction with any other offer.

Link to claim is here: http://www.hotwheelsdreamworldpromo.com.au

Entry form requires an uploaded scan of the receipt, so make sure you keep your receipt!
Also, multiple claims are permitted (1 per qualifying purchase).

  • Very noob question, how is hot wheels compared with tomica?

    • +1

From memory tomica are more complex, combining many different parts and assembling them. The downside is usually they cheap out a little on materiels (more plasticy and lighter metals).

Hot wheels is more simplistic (metal mould, axles+wheels, plastic bottom to hold axle in place) though use more premium, heavier materials.

  • Thanks OP. The link takes me to Target's website that has it for $2.50 but from your title I'm guessing this offer will start tomorrow. Do you know how long it's going to last for? How did you manage to find out it's coming up? 😊 Is there a catalogue or something we could refer to?

  • +1

To answer my own question: Link now takes you to the $1 offer

  • Does anyone know if someone like BigW price match?
I went to Target on Bourke street and while there are lots of cars there, none of them seem to be any of the good ones.

EDIT: Turns out this doesn't include sale items, so probably not.

    • +1

Not sure if these are decent models or not, but big w have this in their toy sale if you can find stock, $1 car but you have to buy 10 https://www.bigw.com.au/bigw-catalogues#view=product&itemId=…

      • Thanks sparkyglo. I might go for a wonder and see if there are any good ones.

    • +1

Yes Big W and Kmart price match catalogue specials.
