PS4 online multiplayer is free for all, this weekend only.
You have from 7:00 PM (19:00) AEST Friday 24th June until 7:00 PM (19:00) AEST Monday 27th June 2016 to play online at no cost.
PS4 Firmware v3.55 has just been released (300.7MB), so make sure you update beforehand to maximise time. You wont be able to go online without updating first.
You'll need the dlc to find a game tried to play the other day and took ages to find one

I dont, my mates come around to play Fifa, thats about all I use it for besides netflix. I do my online gaming on a PC where its always free

I just don't get to play it enough to make PS Plus worth paying for, that said, I'm definitely gonna play GTA Online this weekend, my character has been inactive since the last free weekend

They should have online free, but pay PS plus for the monthly 'free' games.
IKR, especially if its a game like GTA where they basically gave up on single player and update the online mode with new cars :b
I use my PS4 for exclusives mainly, don't need to play the last of us or attack on titan online.
I know plenty of folks that have never had it because the subcription costs way too much.

NBA2k16 is one of this months free games and more than justifies the 50 bucks i paid 8 months ago

Hence I never bother with PS4. Online on PS3 is free. Once free and now subscription not worth it.
I would only play exclusives and no online with PS4 that is when it gets cheap enough to get one

Yeah online should be free on ps and hate paying for it but after playing division on pc and everyone hacking the dark zone get one hit kills and unlimited health it was unplayable.
Which makes you think in other pc games is that person that good or did they cheat… Yeah they patch the cheats but new ones just around the corner

i had it once with the free trial, a discounted 3 months which was a lucky period, as it about 8-10 games i really wanted to play, but since then there is nothing that i thought resubbing was worth and i don't play multiplayer especially as i do not yet own a PS4.
though free weekends would be perfect way to get any final online trophies you want - if your that way inclined

Ever since BS+'s games went drastically downhill not tooooo long after the PS4's launch, I quit the service, used it for years too, convinced many to join in the day, it used to be fantastic.
But the second MP became BS+ only, they stopped giving out the good games, they realized they had the majority by the balls now and didn't have to care.
I was up until 6:30 last night playing Black Ops 1 with a friend… no online fee required.
When I was overseas I played Quake Live off the website - it was basically Quake III Arena online and it was totally free. Here in Australia it seems the servers are abandoned. What's the best PC platform in Australia for
1 ) a good old-fashioned death match (as opposed to roaming gangs of stealthy soldiers)?
2 ) an RTS in the style of Empire Earth
This paid online subscription to play multiplayer bullshit should've never happened but dumb consumers just kept buying that shit xbox360 and now we're here.
I was excited about this but actually now that I look I don't really have any games with multiplayer I want to play. Tried last of us MP and boy I'm bad at it.
