    I assume this isn't a inverter microwave?

    • Correct, it's not an inverter microwave.

what does inverter microwave do? i just know they are much more expensive.
currently on the market for a microwave

The Panasonic Microwave with “inverter” technology. The inverter modulates the level of energy being transmitted by the oven to achieve a consistent level. So when you set 50% power, for example, you actually get a steady stream of 50% power for the entire cooking time. The result is more evenly cooked food, defrosting without cooked edges, and even the ability to keep foods warm until mealtime.

Why wouldn't I just get this instead for half the price: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/contempo-compact-digital-mic…

Sure it's not a Panasonic and 100w weaker, but it is almost half the price and has a 24 month warranty vs 12 months.

Note: I am not trying to be a smart ass, this is a genuine question.
