KFC $12.95 Wings Pack, 12 Wicked Wings and 2 Sides: Large Chips and Potato and Gravy (Can Swap)

2700

Well I mean like it's no 24 nuggets for $10, but it's something.

You get: 12 Wicked Wings, 2 sides: Large Chips and Potato and Gravy (can swap for 1.25L Soft Drink, Coleslaw or Pack of Edible Eneloops)

Saw it at both Chatswood NSW KFCs (yes they have two). Not valid at every KFC, YMMV. QLD seems to have won State of Origin but lost out on KFC.

Here is the receipt if you want to price beat it by 5% at Officeworks

Ask TA if it's eligible for CashRewards.

Adding more as soon as people comment. It would be nice if a KFC rep could clarify this offer. I will go looking for KFC stores around where I live and try to update the list. Might be worth checking if your local store has the offer in shopadocket

    CHICKEN!

    • +1

The worst chicken part - skin and bones, minimal meat. With chicken skin having the highest cholesterol content…

      • +1

That's why the diet coke is so popular in these places. "I'll have the large wings pack, large gravy, chips… yep large, large coleslaw … and a diet coke… large."

        • -1

like diet coke alone will counter all the fats

        • @downero: there could very well be something in the coke that negates the damaging effects of oil. I remember a tidbit of info my coach gave me when I was young; he told me to rinse my mouth out with coke after open water swimming to prevent sickness and to drink a can of Coke after open water for energy and to kill germs in my digestive tract. It was pretty common advice given out to open water swimmers at the time.

      • +1

        You had me at chicken

      • +1

        The worst chicken part…

        Absolutely.

Probably more food value in the little guys bum.

  • +16

I can't believe hot and spicy isn't a normal menu item for you people in the east.

    • +4

It is in QLD… and some specific stores in Syd. :(

      • Can We Swap Potato gravy for 1.25 Drink Instead

        • Considering the wording, I suspect yet? I'll be going in to my local store to see if we have this offer also.

        • That's what I did with mine, as you can see with the receipt.

        • @StrayfireX: great

        • @DarkSide:

You can do this for any meal btw, so if you wanna trade large chips for 1.25L drink that can happen for cheap as chips meal etc.

        • +1

@StrayfireX: all i want to do is swap P&G i usually get ultimate box

      • Any qld store?

    • +3

it is in just 1 store in Victoria too

      • Which store is that?

      • +6

        Victoria Gardens in Richmond

        • Thanks buddy for the location!

        • Did not work for me. Had lunch at VIC Gardens and showed the pic to the manager and he refuse to accept it.

        • @mediam0de: He's referring to hot & spicy as permanent menu I think, not this deal. Only Vic Gardens have it in VIC as far as I'm aware of

    • It's the only KFC I buy in Brisbane. Lot of food court KFC don't sell H&S.

    Price match with office works?

    • +3

      Phone is fine

  • +23

I went to officeworks just then, they said they will price match

    • +2

But I actually expect them to do 5% price beat?

    • +4

yep they will need to beat by 5% and buy it for you from kfc.

  • +1

    +1 for write ups

  • that's pretty good deal, wicked wings are great.

Usually 10 for 10 wings around here.

  • Not bad!!!

      • Lol at least it makes me "mentally" healthy :D. Look at the rich grease it has!

      • +14

You have been sold a lie. There is no link between fat consumption and high cholesterol. The culprit is sugar.

        • +1

          Correct sir.

        • +5

This is a stupid topic here, because in moderation a good fried chicken binge is fine.

        • +1

I'm with Bearosaurus on this one.
I'm sure sugar plays a part in disease too, but according to several reputable Heart Foundation sites(http://heartfoundation.org.au/your-heart/know-your-risks/blo…) and from what I've seen, saturated fats is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke.
You can reward yourself every now and then, but the key is moderation

        • +2

He never said it would raise cholesterol, he just said kfc contains high levels of fat and cholesterol (bad type), and he is correct.

        • +1

BS. Saturated and trans fats cause high cholesterol. Most of you guys on here eat rubbish. It might be chicken once in a while, true. But when you add in McDonalds once in a while, Hungry Jacks, Dominos, Ristourante, etc - then all the chocolate, etc, it becomes your diet.

Anyone into any kind of healthy eating would never consider sucking the fried, greasy skin off of 12 chicken wings. There's next to no meat on them. 12 of these things has nearly 20g of saturated fat (not counting the chips or that clag they call potato), the daily recommended adult intake is 16!

        • @Ripped:

thats why you are so Ripped… not happy?

        • @Ripped: Get out. You are not a true OzBargainer.

    • +14

you get negged for being 'that guy' that has to talk about the nutrition of a fast food deal

      • +1

KFC sells a fair few sugary items as well as this fat laden food. Watch out it's gonna getcha

Always good to learn about nutrition on a open forum, please don't neg me, haha!!

  • +12

Went to officeworks for a price match, saw none on the selves. Asked the employee if there were any behind glass picked it up for 5% less thnx op

  • On the bottom roght of the picture it says " only available at KFC Chatswood"

    • +1

I'll check Town Hall etc, but I saw it at both Chatswood KFCs.

It might not be available at a few KFCs, maybe valid only in Westfield KFCs or might be $13.95 somewhere else or something so check around guys.

They probs cbf typing out exactly which ones are valid. IDK.

  • (can swap for 1.25L Soft Drink, Coleslaw or Pack of Edible Eneloops

But why eat the eneloops?, its better if you actually use them

    • -1

      Well they are Re-edible Eneloops.

      Just recharge them after use.

      • Just recharge them after consumption

Post about cage eggs and flare up debate. Post about wings of chickens raised in deplorable conditions just so they can be chopped and fried up and everyone cheers. Strange mob this is.

What does office works have to do with KFC I don't get it

    • +6

You need to call 1300 OFFICE (633 423) for better deal

      • -5

For better deal? Last time I checked officeworka don't sell KFC chicken wtf

        • +9

Officeworks has just started selling fried chicken as part of their food section but they haven't updated their website yet. So quickly head in-store before someone broadens all the chicken, show the staff at the register the receipt and they'll price match and beat it by 5%.

        • +1

          @porleng:

          Thanks makes sense now!

        • +7

@icanfly: They're just messing with you. It's some silly inside joke because people always ask for a receipt to get 5% off at Officeworks for the same product.

        • @icanfly:

          Troll??

        • +4

@kheob: What? Where do you get off? Bunnings beat the price by 10% today, at their food court. Much better than the 5 from Office..

        • +8

          @TheDonBossj:

Kogan is selling grey import KFC for even less now.

However it doesn't have Band 28, so the reception of the chicken is pretty bad. ;)

        • +1

@StrayfireX: Kogan, yek. I'd never buy their chicken even if I was starving to death. Those grey imports though, you never know what type of meat you get. Rat, cat, poodle… Eeww eek.

        • +1

          @TheDonBossj: Protein is protein :)

        • @firedragon:

no i have better things to do with my life than trolling. Thanks for clearing it up @kheob

        • +1

          @icanfly

I didn't mean to cause offence. My mistake.

  • +4

Local store out of edible eneloops, damn.

    • +1

      Tbh, any Eneloops are edible.

It's just a question of bravery.

  • +3

bro, this deal is sooooooooooo far off from the $9.95 for 9 pieces.. once you go black, you never go back

  • +2

    congrats on a popular deal!

  • So… was anyone else able to get this deal at their local KFC?

  • Dammit, forgot to apply CashRewards again!
Oh well, I'll just use my AMEX card and hope for the best.
Also, if I buy 24 lots of these, will I be eligible for TRS?

    • Try calling it a 'business expense'.

If that doesn't work you can negatively gear the winged wings.

  • +1

KFC obviously doesn't want my business. Why wouldn't you make H&S part of the standard menu? The original recipe is good, but not the way KFC cooks them these days. It used to taste a lot better 20 years ago. Also please bring back XTC!

    • What is XTC?

      • I remember XTC. It had a funny 'smell' to them. Basically H+S but like super crispy.

        • +1

I don't know about the funny smell, but it was super crispy.

  • +1

Though they don't list it in their menu, you can buy 15 wicked wings for $13.95.

  • +3

Went to Costco and they had 2 pallets full of 20 piece boxes for $13.99 so bought 10
Lifetime warranty if you have an active membership

Officeworks has statutory warranty ontop of their 1yr

Costco food court has a CTO boneless wicked wings pizza 17" for $15.99 with 3 cheeses of mozzarella, tasty and bocconcini cheese plus 3 bonus meats of bacon, chorizo and spicy salami
Perfect for the winter warmth fat insulation if you're going into hibernation or not ;)
