  • People actually pay for content on these sites? Cant you access 99% of the content in incognito/private mode or via syndication in other papers (hint just google the headline).

Not to mention plenty of other sites have good free content - eg guardian/daily mail

    • You are right for most of them, however I have not figured out how to get the fin review

      • I didn't try it myself, but this should do the trick: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/230939

I normally end up reading something else, if I can't get past the paywall in incognito mode.

          You have made my day!

What's with the neg vote? Seriously - this is a bargain site and I'm just stating the fact that the content can be had for free .. instead of a measly 20% discount.

  • Waiting for manual link from forumninja…
    Oh.. hang on..

  • Hi, Forumninja,
Do you have the manual link for the AmEx HCF statement credit?

    • Too late anyway, I think that one has reached max enrolments

  • I already have a subscription to the SMH at 50% off; do you think if I switch my billing information to AMEX, would I be able to get 20% off? Or is this for new subscriptions only?

    • +1

You should be fine because it's just a spend threshold with no reference to whether you're a new customer or not. These AMEX statement credits don't normally make distinctions like that.

Ooh OK. I pay for my subscription on the fourteenth of every month so I'm going see if this works next month :)

      • +1

I renewed my subscription for $15.44 using my AMEX on the 14th and got $3.09 back!

Geez, for a sec there I thought said 20,000 points not first 20K subscribers…sooo disappointed

  • Just a question about the manual links. Does it mean that you can enrol in the offer even if it is not shown in your offers when you log in your Amex account?

    • Correct, as long as the max cards threshold has not been reached.

  • Damn- I pay for my home delivery subscription annually and aren't due for renewal until February.
