Suzuki $200 Test Drive Challenge

70

An easy $200 for anyone who is in the market for a Mazda 6, Honda Accord Euro, Subaru Liberty, Audi A4, Volkswagon Jetta…strangely the Ford Mondeo and Toyota Camry are missing from the list, probably because they are significantly roomier than the Kizashi and would make the Kizashi seem small by comparison.

EDIT: Please note you do have to BUY one of the alternative cars listed to get the $200 cash (and send Suzuki a copy of the contract), see terms and conditions on Suzuki web site.

Personally, I would go for a Mazda 6 or Ford Mondeo, which are widely acclaimed as the best cars in the medium segment, particularly the Mondeo Diesel.

"Putting its money where its mouth is, Suzuki is confidently offering consumers $200 if they test drive its new Kizashi medium car and then instead opt to buy a rival car such as the Mazda6 or Subaru Liberty"

  • Lol… yeah this promo will work to their benefit

I find it hard to imagine any suzuki kizashi buyer to go out and buy a Audi A4 (or even the other cars listed) being that suzuki is beyond cheap, and the other cars are premium vehicles

it might be the image, everytime i think Suzuki i picture motorbikes! for cars, Vitara and Mightboy comes to mind mostly
ps for a Japanese company they make cars in strange countries, wiki states they have factories in Pakistan and Hungary!

    • +1

Yeah, I guess they are trying to reposition their brand slightly more upmarket….
will be tough with a name like Kizashi, sounds like something gym junkies take to build muscles!

      • -1

        they are aiming too high

I don't think I'll ever hear a customer say, "yes, I'm tossing up between an Audi A4 and Suzuki modelidunnohowtopronounce"

        • +3

Easier to phonetically pronounce than a VW Touareg or Phaeton and most bogans wouldn't pronounce Calais correctly if they hadn't heard someone else say it first… ;-)

It's a cute offer. If I was buying a Mazda 6 and could put up with another sales person bellowing in my ear, I would test drive the Kizashi and claim my free $200.

As for me, I'm waiting for the Suzuki Gesundheit :-)

  • It's not a bad looking car and the mileage you get aint bad for a mid size car

As for the offer. I hate car salesman. trying to get 200 dollars isn't worth it :P

  • Suzuki Kizashi looks pretty good. Good marketing campaign too. I wouldn't have known about the car if it wasn't for this offer. Look forward to reading the reviews.

    Terms and condition…..

    • 200 dollars will be paid in suzuki vouchers

    </joke>

    • lol wtf does that mean?

$200 to go towards their cars?

    • -1

Please get your facts straight before posting incorrect info….I checked the terms and conditions:

"The first 125 valid claims received will receive a cheque for $200 AUD"

      No mention of Suzuki vouchers!

    • lol! nice one

      • opps sorry, i did put joke <joke> tags around it but they didnt come out!

the less than and greater than signs and the text in them disapears….,

  • after all that…

    HOW MUCH IS THE CAR???

    • Suzuki Kizashi XL – Six-speed manual – $27,990
    • Suzuki Kizashi XL – CVT – $30,490
    • Suzuki Kizashi XLS – Six-speed manual - $34,990
    • Suzuki Kizashi XLS – CVT – $36,990
    • +1

OMG!!! that price is not cheap. The base auto is the exact same as a base auto Mazda6. And its got crappy CVT

  • Looks pretty good for a Suzuki, but it's doubtful that the car will be a success due to the stigma behind the brand. Same principle applies to the Hyundai Tiburon I guess… It's very difficult for car manufacturers to justify their new market positioning when there is already an established image. Of course it is a bold move, but it is unlikely to create a big shift in a market that is already very competitive. Might have better luck if the pricing was more attractive.

I drive a euro, its the bomb yo. i like the original kizashi prototype. google the pictures. the front bumper was so sexy. the production model was beyond fail. looks like a corrolla at the front.

go for a euro -> honda + sports styling + luxury themed + safety + great performance to fuel economy ratio + VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!

    • Yo! Furythree, by the time your VTEC kicks in, an XR6 Turbo would be in the next suburb…don't get me wrong, Euro is a nice car….for the wife :P

      • the car might be, but the gear box would still be at the starting line :P

and the car on the back of a trailer…

        :D

  • old euro is nice

new euro is too much weight, too little engine, too much vtec y0

i'd probably go the suzuki if i was after a middle weight fwd car
