Noticed that Klymit sleeping mats are a deal of the day at Amazon.

For the price, these are decent lightweight sleeping mats for camping or bike touring.

e.g. Klymit Static V2 Inflatable Sleeping Pad = $72 AUD shipped

Camel3 shows the current price to be equal with the best ever price.

Other interesting items:

6% cashback on topcashback for Amazon outdoor recreation also - a temporary increase valid for 4 more days.

You can also save a further $1 USD getting it shipped to a parcelpoint pickup location.

  • Price in title por favor, hombre. Yo tengo no dinero.

  • Well it's the whole category, not a specific item.

  • Thanks, ordered one of the Static V2. Look similar to some mats I was looking at here for ~$200 or something.

Great deals. I've been looking at Static V2 for over a year but held back buying due to price. Now just got the insulated lux for less than v2 local price.

Prices are good but if you are buying for bushwalking best to compare weight & for cooler areas insulation (R-value) - e.g. an uninsulated mat is cold to sleep on in Tasmania - so you probably want the Insulated Static V Lite for Tasmanian walking at $70USD. The sleeping bag is also a good price but on the heavy side for walking.

    • It weighs in at about 1.25kg - but still good value for money IMHO

  • How is it compared to Mountain Design's? Thanks.

    • Honestly not too sure. Maybe compare the reviews.

Better than MD. MD is like Kathmandu, very little original research and design in their products, either reproductions or copies.

Klymit are basically 100% original/innovative designs, however they are generally aimed towards lightweight and less towards comfort (besides the deluxe/luxe versions).

If you are heavy, large, or generally have a hard time sleeping on inflatable mats - I would advise you not to buy Klymit pads.

These would be roughly on-par with either Sea to Summit pads, or perhaps some of the newer Nemo pads.

      • Thanks @Telios. Will consider it next time.

  • thanks! grabbed one

  • Isn't $53USD = $72AUD ?

    • oops right you are - updated.

As consolation - the amazon app store $5 off $10 spend thing still works also.
