  • I was bummed that I missed the manager's special a few weeks ago so I headed down to JB today and sitting there was Bad Company 2 for $45 :D Happy I got it cheap.

  • WOOT gonna go tomorrow

  • What kind of account do you need to play online? EA account?

Is it locked to your account once you play it? (like a Steam game)

  • I'm very disappointed with the Xbox 360's BC2 online. It is so laggy that it is unplayable. I emailed EA and they got backed to me to tell me that it is a known issue and that they are working on it, but the lag is still severe as of last night. I can't honestly recommend it until they fix the lag.

    • I can't speak for XBOX 360 owners, but from personal experience both the PC and PS3 versions work without a hitch online, so if you have problems, or are worried, price-match at EB so you can return it for another platform if there is lag/other issues, because as far as I know, JB only accepts exchanges/refunds for items which are sealed.
      Hope this helps
      Cheers

    Damn!
Ordered this from Amazon UK, but parcel has been lost by the post so I bought it again from G2PLay yesterday. Was slightly cheaper than this, but would have preferred the disk and Aust support/storefront.
Also had problems with my EA download - AV recognised the punkbuster file as a trojan.

    • Sounds horrible. You waited so long only to have it lost.
But maybe it was just late, similar to a book I bought from the UK.

If not I hope they refunded you.

u can get it for $27 now guys. this isnt a bargain

    tested, works. trusted

just need photo ID with license number and photo blurred out to confirm credit card details (if using cc)

accidentally stumbled on it while looking at mw2 deal here http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1442313

    • if you use g2play, I assume you need to download the .iso from seomwhere dodgy and then just use the legit key? Or is there a way to get steam to download it for you?

    • I'm worried about g2play. Credit card + ID = a sweet package for resell on the identity thief network.

      • I just grabbed a copy of bad company 2 of g2play and paid by paypay to be safe. Sure enough they asked me for a copy of my license. So I scanned my license but made the quality intentionally poor to avoid any chance of counterfeit (was still completely readable but not photo quality). They asked me to send a better quality image. Seems fishy to me. I'm contemplating cancelling the order.

        • Why do they need your license?

          • @manbearpig: Apparently people have been scamming them.. There is a thread somewhere on the net "how to scam g2play" or similar.

  • awesone find LibertyPrime.

Will go and pick up a PS3 copy tomorrow.

I am tempted about the G2Play offer but as this is the 1st time I hear of them, is this a download only version of the game? if so, can you buy it for PS3 or is it just for PC?

pc only. but seriously, why play this on a console. fps was intended for a mouse

      • Hmm, here's probably why people use consoles…

Some gamers don't want to buy a new video card every 2 years to keep playing at max resolution & detail while gamers who can't afford new video cards don't want to fart around with video settings for every game to get the best video performance. While consoles have less video performance compared to high end gaming rig PCs, consoles are cheaper and you can just whack in the game and play. Also, some prefer to play games in a lounge room on a couch.

Each to their own of course…but for me personally, I can't afford PC gaming. :)

  • because my pc is a dinosaur !!!!!

  • Zavvi just put up a good price for this if you don't mind waiting a week or so, about $25 for PC and $40 xbox & ps3… plus shipping.

  • This is a wicked game, I highly recommend it. Multilayer is awesome

  • Is the multiplayer on the PS3 laggy? Is there any lag at all on the PS3? Alot of players online?

  • I have to say this is a very good game I have Battlefield Bad Company 2 for xbox 360 online is fun i play as a sniper and offline game is also good but a little bit short. Its better then COD lol.

  • None in stock in TVG JB Hi-Fi Sydney but popped next door to EB Games and they priced matched!

Zavvi is still a lot cheaper for Battlefield: Bad Company 2
    $24 pounds delivered = $40 AUD
dont even have to use any petrol going to pick it up

    • It says free UK delivery but nothing about international shipping being free so I'm assuming it'd cost more than 24 pounds.

  • Great deal. Hopefully this game is better than MW2, geez that game was horrible and a complete waste of money. Freggin Kotick…
