    • Such a great game!

  • No $ figures unfortunately, but a list of all the discounted games at Major Nelson to get the ball rolling. The page states "These offers are valid for all Xbox Live members. Please note: prices and availability are subject to change and may vary by region".

    • Yep biggest problem is the different pricing (outside of exchange rates) that makes a lot of the big name games horribly priced in the Australian store. And Gold members get extra discount ~ 5-10%.

      • I believe so, yes.

      • +1

Yep, Shadow of Mordor GOTY $10 USD on US store, $27.48 AUD for us… Won't buy out of protest.

        • Haha yep that was the first game I checked and immediately disappointed -_-

        • +6

Just buy it from the US store?

  • Where did devil may cry 4 go?

    • +1

Not all game deals are live yet. Officially starts on the 5th US time/date. Sorry for the confusion, have mentioned in the post now :)

  • Check around 10ish in the morning. That's usually around the time deals kick in each week.

  • +11

Sleeping Dogs was such a great game. Finished it twice!

    • +2

I'd get it for XB1, but it's already in my Steam pile of shame. Worth playing then, huh?

      • +8

I enjoyed it, enough to finish it (which is relatively rare). Sandbox game similar to GTA, but less guns and more martial arts. It's also nice to be able to (properly) drive on the correct side of the road, since it is set in honkers.

        • +3

Yep, one of the most unexpected games I've played recently that actually held my attention the entire way through. Great gameplay and story if you like the setting :)

      • +4

another vote for sleeping dogs. and Yes it's such a great game, definately worth it at this price.

      • +5

        Yes, Sleeping Dogs was excellent.

        Loved the soundtrack as well.

      • +3

        Sleeping dogs is really good.

  • How many times is that that Bully Scholarship Edition has gone on sale?

    • +1

Not as much as GTA V has

  • +1

From what I can see most titles mentioned in Major Nelson's post are now discounted. The ones I checked are, anyway (Fallout 4, Doom, Dying Light, Life is Strange, Halo 5).

Probably nothing for me this sale - retail is still cheaper in most cases.

    • Buy from xbox Russia store during the sale.

      • How do their prices compare?

        • +1

Was a bit of a hassle to get it working but got witcher 3 + ori definitive + sleeping dogs definitive + monopoly + fh2 f&f expansion + fh2 furious 7 car pack for ~$47AUD (2500RUB from g2a) which is pretty good.

  • +4

    Must. Stop. Buying. Xbox. Games.

    • +8

      And. Start. Playing. Them.

      • +3

No time for that. Too busy OzBargaining.

        • Thats the spirit …

  • +1

    Dragon Age: Inquisition (GOTY) $19.98
    https://store.xbox.com/en-AU/Xbox-One/Bundle/Dragon-Age-Inqu…

Considering I'm a new XboxOne owner, I'm also interested in anyone's recommendations for this sale. Musts for me at the moment are Dragon Age and Witcher 3.

    • Yeah I'm considering Dragon Age also, but I hated the combat in the first game, and left the sequel alone. Wondering if the combat is still essentially the same in Inquisition.

    • +2

Witcher 3 is the best RPG game I've ever played. The two DLCs are also excellent - self-contained stories that enhance the world.

I put 140 hours into it. I wanted to play more but I'd finished literally everything.

    • Dragon Age is part of EA Access (although not the GOTY edition). EA Access might actually be better value overall.

      • I thought about EA access, but Dragon Age is really the only thing on there I want at the moment.

  • No Forza Porsche dlc?

    • Waiting on Porshe to drop too.

  • +1

posted this deal yesterday but mod deleted it lol

    • +6

To be fair, you didn't post any detail, or give any indication what games might be bargains; this is a lot more useful information.

    • posted this deal yesterday but mod deleted it lol

You can't post "sales" without actually listing any worth while bargains. The rules are clear on that.

  • Star Wars Battlefront worth getting for $25.99?

    • I think so although people with the season pass get some nice toys you wont and the season pass has never been on sale. So if you want that, expect to pay another $80 or what ever it is.

      • +1

I tried to play this with EA access couldnt even find any games on the XB1.

        • It depends on the mode you pick, as some modes have no players. But it's better now, basically it now asks if you want a 12-player or 40-player match… and just finds one in a few seconds.

        • I have never had any problems finding games on XB1.

        • @SirFlibbled: really ? i can never find games unless i pick the 40 player or 12 player matches at the start up screen

  • can someone help me? im trying to buy DMC4SE Demon Hunter Bundle but forces me onto the UK website where I cant buy it.

  • I wonder if I should grab battleborn. I enjoy Overwatch and at half price it's worth consideration.

Also yet again, SW Battlefront is on sale but not the overly expensive DLC.

  • nevermind got it. $53.95 to $26.98 damn thats cheap!

  • May I suggest renaming it so Xbox One deals?

  • +2

Remember to check other store regions to see if there are any better prices! I bought some Russian credit from G2A and got Life is Strange and Ori and Blind Forest, both for about $10 AUD.

    • Anyone got the list of links to various sites for different countries?

      • On the xbox store, just change the region at the bottom left corner of the website.

I use this occasionally. Not sure if it'll reflect the sale price, but should at least work as a way to work out the better deals based on existing prices.

    • yeah but how does this work if your account is an AU account?

        • Thanks for the useful info, I thought you had to make a new account, only issue is you can only change your region a certain amount of times or you have to wait a while to change between regions? so if something goes on sale in say Australian store you couldn't change back for say 2 months and you would miss the sale?

        • +1

@yacman: I don't think there is a limit to changing regions on your console.
I just use the website for all my purchases from different regions now anyway http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/games/xbox-one?xr=shellnav

        • +1

@yacman: For XBOne store(s), you don't have to change your profile's region. You're only adding a 2nd "wallet" for another country's currency (eg. US-USD or Germany-Euro). You can buy from any store as long as you have the ability to pay in that country's store.

For downloading - if you have your console set to Aus, it'll download anything you buy that's available here (even if you bought the licence from another country). However, if it's something not here, you'll have to change your console to another country that has it (just in the console's settings), initiate the download, then you can change back. (Note: that doesn't count as a region change, you're just tweaking a setting on the console.)
Most "unavailable" stuff will be country-specific bundles (eg. Forza + DLC car type), but there may be the odd unrated game for us.

For X360 profiles, the store you can buy from is tied to your profile's country. For that, if you wanted to get to another store you'd have to change region (& with the restrictions you mentioned).

        • @Linkwick: wow that was super informative and it's actually worth buying from foreign stores then!

          To be clear for example:
If I wanted something from the canadian store I would look online for a canadian pre-paid card (maybe even the canadian microsoft store)
          Purchase the giftcard
Redeem the code on my account
Then just purchase off the canadian website with that credit
Download on console as normal due to the game being associated with my gamertag/profile?

        • @yacman: Yes, your process is correct. :-)

I'd personally do "Method 2" from Funkay's link first to create the region(s) payment detail(s) you want. You may be able to create the region's payment on your profile when buying gift cards, but Method 2 would make sure it's done. (You don't have to keep a cr card attached - just use it to create the region's "wallet" then delete it as a payment method.)

Russia or Brazil are usually pretty good bets for being cheap.

        1. Switch region on console
        2. Load credit via redeem code
        3. Go to purchase game
        4. Use MS credit to buy
  • I managed to get Stick of Truth for $11 but on the it's still $30, WTF

  • Is $54 a good price for Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition?

    • You can get that title much cheaper on the Russian store ~1800RUB (<$40AUD)

      • I'm seeing 2999 on the Russian store for The Following. I might be doing it wrong though..

        • Are you logged in?

        • @spaghettiman: Yeah I just realised that was the problem. If it's really as simple as buying some credit and then purchasing through the Russian website I really need to give this a try.

        • +1

@Munkeyalan: I did it today. One thing that wasn't outlined in that whirlpool guide was the fact that you need to add a separate credential to purchase in the Russian store. Simply add the credit to the microsoft account, add then your normal Aus credit card with a russian state/zip + phone number for purchases in Russia then you'll be able to use the credit, otherwise it'll keep telling you to add a credit card (even if you have one registered for purchases in Australia.

  • For what it's worth, Battlefield Hardline Betrayal DLC is free for Gold
    https://store.xbox.com/en-AU/Xbox-One/DLC/Battlefield-Hardli…

And Alan Wake American Nightmare is 50% off, $4.97 for Xbox 360 (Gold price)

Suxs that Fallout 4 Season Pass isn't on sale :(

Picked up Tomb Raider definitive for $7.49 after I missed it for free with games with gold.

If you haven't played it before you're in for a treat. One of my favourite games of the last few years.

      • Haven't played but looking forward to it, only ever heard positive things! Was waiting for it to drop under $10 to add it to the library :)

  • Bought Lego Marvel Superheroes for around 22 dollars plus King of Fighter for 5. Great sale so far!

  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Favorites Pack is also on sale for $26.95 FWIW

  • This is so frustrating! Ever time I tried to purchase a game, it always gave me a "Your purchase cannot be completed with this payment option. Try a different or new way to pay." error! I have tried 3 different options but no all failed.

I am a frequent online shopper and it is my first time in my shopping life being so annoyed…

Deals are good but I do not get change to enjoy them…

    • Maybe get in touch with live chat? They're really helpful and you can usually get in touch with one in less than a minute!

      • That is the even worse part…I tried several times to open an online chat and it always says "Invalid data. Please check your information"

I just put an error code there as well as some descriptions. Now I feel a bit shame to be a developer as I do not even know how to start a chat!

    • Are you trying to use an Australian payment method in an international store?

      • Not sure it is an international store or not. It shows AUD there and I just followed the post linked for FIFA2016 to get there.

    • I had the same issue. Spoke to live chat and they said try again in 24 hours :/

I just got some Xbox live credit instead, that worked.

    • After several attempts, I finally got this resolved. It was my account blocked in a certain way so I could not purchase anything. Live chat did not work for me neither so I had to call them to fix both issues.

Now enjoy playing my FIFA16, great thanks for those whom tried to help in the case!

  • State of Decay bought. Been waiting for a good deal and this was it. Cheers OP!

  • Can anyone see Tales of Vesperia? It used to be available on the store but it seems to have been removed?
