  • oh wow a low end IGP and a low end dedicated graphics in switchable thats….odd

  • Here's something similar for $568…
    http://www.penta.com.au/template.php?seqid=51668

But without the ATI video + 1gb/802.11n network.

That's the best I could find staticice, average price is $800-$900.

    Good deal, thanks.

  • +1

For an extra $100.00 this one is a better deal from mln
    https://www.mln.com.au/product/?itemID=798&typeID=

This laptop was retailing at $1800.00 this time last year and the cost price was $1400.00.

  • It looks great, but Vista Business? :( I'm assuming they're getting rid of these because they don't include Windows 7?

(Same applies to the one Bargainaholic linked, which also looks great but includes Vista Home Premium)

  • Good deal MLN, can you please advise how long the battery will last for web browsing and how much weight it is?

    thanks.

    • It is listed as starting from 2.72kgs, the battery will last 2-4 hours.

The $750 is a slower AMD processor and $150 more expensive.. so I can't see how you call that a bargain.

As for the Amazon one… you do know they don't ship laptops overseas right?

      • You are right…

With the Tosh you still need to pay $49 to have 4gig ram and it has vista

How about the $732 (recent ozbargain MLN post)

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/25098

  • Depends on usage I guess. For those who run a few games, I dont think the Tosh will be any good. My laptops running the same ATI card as this deal but with 512MB instead of 256MB and I still manage to run Bioshock 2/Borderlands/Dragons Age on low-medium settings.

    • This laptop is only suitable for basic to mid level gaming,
but with the windows XP-pro downgrade option included, it will allow the machine to run better and its a great entry level gaming, student or business notebook for $599.
It also has bluetooth and a few other extra things other notebooks in this price range would not normally have, everyones requriements are different and what one person considers usefull may not apply to the other person.
