Thermaltake Wired Esports Level 10 M Gaming Mouse USB $39 from Computer Alliance

70

Long time bargainer, first time poster, etc.

Was browsing around to replace my Thermaltake Level 10 M gaming mouse and found that Computer Alliance have a huge discount on both the white and black models (less than 50% the next place on static ice http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=thermaltake…). $39 for either colour not including shipping, while stocks last. Just picked one up myself.

      Same to Metro VIC.

Either is comes in the worlds biggest box and weighs a lot, or someone is making some bank off postage.

I play a bit of online games (okay, I might have a small online gaming addiction) and after about 3-4 months, the Level 10 M mouse's middle click button died. For regular users, this might never happen, but I feel as if they'd miss the point of getting this mouse then.

The relatively flat contour surface isn't a great feel, no matter how high or low you change it, imagine an elevated magic mouse.
The left side buttons are hard (resistive) and the sniping button is easily pressed by mistake. The buttons on the right hand were unused.
Once you get used to it though, it's not a bad mouse, but then again, most aren't.
I did get this from a mate for free and given the choice again, I would have just bought another mouse.

By comparison, a Razer Mamba's right click failed me after about two years, the battery died far earlier and the grips started peeling after 1 which I can't seem to find a replacement for online. It now looks pretty, on it's stand, as a paperweight.
These days, I'm back on my Razer Deathadder which I've had for 6.5 years (probably 3.5 years of solid use) and is still going strong.

TL;DR Probably discounted for a reason.

  • That is an UGLY mouse.

Looks like a Michael Bay Decepticon!
