should be $599, wait for GTX1080ti

    • Why $599?

    • Do we know roughly know when it will be out, also do you think they could use that new HBM(?) memory?

    • +1

Founders edition MSRP is USD$699 not $599.

      • he is talking about it being overpriced at the moment due to lack of competition!! :)
Nvidia wont release a GTX1080ti until AMD bring out Vaga 10-11

        • I'm a 25+ year tightarse gamer. Never been in touch with high end. So take this with a grain of salt… For that huge amount of money, i expect a lot more. Maybe the specs aren't telling -enough.

        • "he is talking about it being overpriced at the moment due to lack of competition!! :)
Nvidia wont release a GTX1080ti until AMD bring out Vaga 10-11"

          ^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^

  • Seems like it would be better to order from here, its backordered though

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01GBX8X5S/ref=oh_aui_de…

Its better card and $985 AUD delivered (go through checkout and it will remove tax)

    • I'm getting the 10% GST in checkout?

Also alternatives, there's some KFA2 brand on overclockers going for 527.61 pounds (~AU $914) Delivered

      • Yes it only removes VAT.

Whats interesting is that only yesterday it was 9 GBP less as it was discounted, and at that price there is no import fee.

So somewhere between $559-568 GBP is the limit

        • Yeah it is 9 GBP more expensive today. That tips it over $1000 AUD according to the Amazon exchange rate calculator and so now it also attracts GST. With GST it is no longer a bargain.

It's big brother, the FTW edition with 2 x power connectors was 599 GBP yesterday, now 669 GBP!

It seems Amazon.co.uk are raising the prices of several high end video cards - assumably because of Brexit and the fact they have to pay USD for the cards when they buy them from the suppliers…

        • @GreatWhiteHunter:

It seems silly if it uses the Amazon exchange rate calculator when its so not accurate., maybe you can ask them if you can handle your own import taxes?

Rubbish price don't pay for this shit wait till it goes down to the correct price like $800 AUD

    • correct price at $800 AUD? according to who?

      • He's not wrong.

You can get a higher clock card with a better cooler for $895 AUD delivered.

Surely thats worth at least $95?

Recommended retail price at launch was $599USD

        599USD does not = $962 or $1000 or $1100 or $1200

Card should be priced at $800 - $850aud max anything over that is over priced and they are just taking the piss out of you

        • It is not unusual for Australian retail prices to be double the USD recommended price - that is pretty standard.

At the moment you can't buy even a crappy founders edition card for under $1100 at most Australian retailers - so if you can land a decent third party cooled card for less than $1k right now it's a deal.

Sure the price will fall over time, but if you want it now, you can't do better.

Bear in mind the same cards are selling in the UK for 600 GBP - thats a hell of a lot more than your $800 AUD…

        • @GreatWhiteHunter: i gave up after reading his respond. Good luck trying to explain that to him.

        • The RRP is $699 not $599

    • Supply <> Demand.

So for those wanting, link something better.

  • Hate to be the bearer of bad news again. But I reckon Amazon have changed the price.
It now says, $850.00. Qty 2 in stock. But likely another seller has it. Amazon probably run out.

EDIT: Realized they have it back-ordered 8th July and you can still order through Amazon at that price.

  • Jw.com.au have founders in stock anyone after one as I know they are hard to find. But you will pay for it big 😉

  • +1

Seeing as this is priced above the rrp i'd say this is the exact opposite of a bargain.

  • Well, better then paying the ripped off price in Australia for $1299.

  • Waiting for MSI or Gigabyte to release their cards so I can get a better price
