      Depends on the layout you prefer - many will say Swipe for Facebook Pro is smoother, and a little faster. My annoyance with Metal was that the 'back button' often took me out off the app which was frustrating.

        The back button issue is in Metal is most annoying as you have to reload your entire feed and start again at the top. Also, If you click through an notification you can't go back to the other notifications.
        Hoping Swype doesn't do this.
        Just wish Facebook with their trillions of dollars could program a an app that doesn't make my phone slower all day!

      I prefer swipe. Both have been having trouble with FB messenger, currently swipe handles it better though.

    Facebook mobile won't let you check messages without Messenger, does this get around it? I refuse to install Messenger so need to use my tablet to check my inbox now.
