  I'm not sure about their paid software, but I remember when I downloaded this recently to trial it, my AV alerted me to a few adware instances within the installer. I decided against it.

  Got this (last item it was discounted) and really like it. Bit the bullet after trying all sorts of options to try and get a free solution working. I understand Windows 10 has some sort of built in recording now that can be used. But this does do more then just record - easy to annotate, edit audio add stills and mouse click effects that make what you are doing obvious.

  Why bother when it'll be the same full retail price in the end to get the next version.

    I agree with this comment but there is a good possibility that the new version will just have more bells and whistles and hence you won't want to upgrade. This way you get the core functionality you really want at half the price.

      True, but I can't find what actual version is on offer here.. is it version 8?
