  • Any specials on le max 2?

  • Far out phone's are getting cheap these days. Supposedly these have a better camera than the Xiaomi's of similar price. Good deal.

    • buyer beware, see comments below about reliability. Can be hit and miss, but at 1/5 of the price of other brands. why not try

  • This or the Lenovo K3 Note K50 - T3S 4G Phablet BLACK for $107 i know less rom and ram. But is quality any better.

    • Is marred with problems. I am typing on one.

      • Which one ?

        • LENOVO k3 note t3s

    • I wouldn't touch the K3 Note. I bought 2 and both had LCD touch issues. 1 died completely after 2 weeks. Got that one returned and refunded, but the whole process took 2 months. Not again.

      • True that. While it is not extreme on my T3S, random touch screen problem is a bit annoying on my 2 weeks old

  • I have nothing but good things to say about the k3 note. Excellent value for the money. No issues with mine or the one my friend bought.

The community out there is strong with something like 250 ROMs on needrom, and most importantly continual updates from Lenovo, which is rare for Chinese manufacturers.

Don't let one bad review out you off, there are a multitude of happy users.

    • Do you recommend a particular rom?

    • So we need to flash the ROM for use in Australia?

OP can you please update any missing frequency bands?

Knowing what troubles the phone has is even more valuable than knowing what benefits there are.

      • No, this thread has gotten off topic to be about the k3 note. There's no requirement for a custom ROM for either phone.

        • So can Australians use this phone as is from the box?

We don't want to have to anything to the phone other than just use as is.

        • @lovepeoplenotmoney: yes, straight from the box. the custom ROM is to get rid of bloatware and provide for a faster phone. I haven't touched mine and am using as it was delivered 6 months ago. very good phone.

  • I'm using blend ROM and it's excellent. Any of the recent nexus or aosp are very good.

  • I'm a bit unsure what to buy now. I bought a mlais mx base about 9 months ago and within 5 months touch screen was stuffed. Now it's had it last night the phone was sitting on a table at 10.30PM and I heard someone saying hello, the stupid phone had called one of my customers all on its own. I got offered $18 refund from Gearbest so took it and will buy something else but a bit scared of China phones now.

  • Stick to the well known brands and you'll be fine. Xiaomi, Lenovo, Huawei are all good. ZTE is also not bad.
