  • How many years protection is it?

Kaspersky Total Security provides protection for 3 Devices, 1 year for $18. And I would rate Kaspersky over Norton any day.

    • One year also, Norton has had a pretty bad rep for resource hogging etcetc, but it has improved quote a lot in the last couple of years.
Its like HDD some people prefer seagate some WD - some dont like norton others love it.

  • How does this compare to Norton Security Premium?

    • The more important question is how does it compare with not buying it at all?

      The answer is, quite favourable.

    • Worse off… Norton Security Premium supersedes Norton 360 so FST is essentially having a clearance sale.

      http://www.nortonsecurityonline.com/norton-security-vs-old-p…

      • We do have it with a $40 cash back currently also will make the price for this around $57
        https://freeshippingtech.com.au/index.php?z=p&p=WEBSYM301730…

        • $40 Cashback via online redemption 6/5/16-17/7/16
          Current delivery average: 5.3 days

= unlikely to arrive in time to claim the cashback

      • But how much worse?

Considering getting the Norton Security Premium from JB hifi at $49 after cash back. Only need it for 2 devices (the third would be good for a spare but not essential). Obviously this is cheaper for what I need. However, I know Norton 360 is an older product so I'm not sure how much I'm compromising on in terms of functionality, compatibility or protection.

From that table, I can see that Norton 360 doesn't have the following when compared to Norton Security Premium:
        * 100% Guarantee. Get your money back if we fail to remove a virus from your PC or Mac
        * Allows you to add more secure, online PC storage when you need more space
        * Upgrade anytime without having to start another’s year’s subscription
        * Grows with you and your devices to fit your changing needs
        * Includes premium parental control features (Norton Family Premier)

The first feature is interesting (although I would imagine it'd probably be v difficult to claim).
The rest of the additional features don't appear that that essental.

Does it come with an Core i7 to counteract the shitty performance this software introduces??

    I'll never buy Norton products.
