  • But is it any good?

  • Are these any good?

I've got the Kogan branded one. Best blender I've ever owned. It's so powerful you need to be careful when making smoothies as you can heat up the contents quite quickly

  • Yes, really good. Blades are proper 18/10 SS , checkout the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7uWX4235fM

I've got one from the same factory, looks identical but different colour. Very powerful blender that sounds like a chainsaw, but really gets the job done, leaves the little bullet blenders in the dust. They may have overcome the issue, but I've been through 3 of them due to breaking driveshaft connections. Can be pretty easily fixed though, rather than sending away for replacement. I'd buy another one.

    • what do you mean breaking driveshaft connections? how easy is it to fix?

The shaft has a hex or similar shape that fits into the bar that the jug sits on. Because the fit wasnt tight enough or something to that effect, the connection kept rounding out. I just glued the shaft to the base and it has held really well, taken a beating in reality. They may have fixed this issue by now as it must have been a common issue back when I purchased mine, due to having 3 do the same thing. Don't want to put anyone off, the blender is awesome but I had those issues.

  • How do you deal with warranty?

  • Can you get a food processor bowl attachment?

I've been looking into getting a good blender and also need a food processor - I saw that Nutri Ninja have a model that has both attachments and thought that may be a good way to go about it rather than having multiple appliances.

Not sure about separate attachments, it doesn't come with it that's for sure. However this blender is powerful enough to grind dry food.

The ninja blender and food processor is excellent but too expensive

  • But will it blend?

looks like the Kogan one, no complaints from me.

    • Yes this is from the same factory that makes the Kogan and Aldi commercial blenders. Only difference is this is 100W more powerful

Even though the jug is rather large, does it handle small quantities fine? I'm used to a crappy Kambrook Blitz n Go that I simply fill and have enough juice/smoothie for one. Issue is I'm sick of drinking lumpy mush.

Not sure if you need a minimum amount to get the thing working properly?

    • +1

      Yes it does small quantities.

      Kambrook is rubbish

  • Rubbish blender, I had this for 6 months until it blew up, performance is also poor doesn't pulverize
